A common assertion from anti-gun folks that more gun control will be right around the corner once all of the old white gun owners and old white politicians kick the bucket continues to not materialize in polling. To the contrary, assault-weapon bans are most popular among the old and less popular among the young.

Oooh. This should be a good one.

My view is that if the social-media account is held in the politician's official capacity, then it is a public forum and a public official would violate the 1A by deleting posts or blocking posters.

I actually reject this. Social media is, generally, a one-way street. It's the hot dogs being thrown at the chick gif/meme. They just throw a bunch of meat sticks into your face holes and you just lay back and take it...

This is at least a two-way street, there's interaction, there's the potential for mental exercise. I think they're considerably different animals...

Yeah, I know you, duck dick...but there's an obvious separation between a message board/forum and the traditional definition of social media...we're talking about instagram and tiktok and the like, that's just a firehose of generally nonsense...

This is at least passing conversations, thought exercises, etc. - certainly with elements of traditional-definition social media (like adorable panda gifs), but I don't find them to be similar enough to get labeled in the same way for the purposes of this conversation...

Manchin on Hannity tonight getting praise for fighting for fossil fuels.

I can see him being a candidate for the No Labels nomination in 2024.

Imagine a bipartisan nuclear energy committee that worked with the president to propel our energy production into the 21st century, while greatly reducing our effect on climate change.

Just kidding.

mine is mostly hot chicks too but nearly all of the content of what they’re doing is very uncreative or nonsensical

like they’ll steal a joke from a movie or something and mouth the words while staring into the camera. Or it’s a very scripted video that pretends to be candid

And I hate that I watch these dumb shits because the women are smokin
That's the beauty of being a hot chick. It doesn't **** matter what you do

Yup... had to figure it was coming.

I'll vote for him over whatever psychopath the GOP decides to send.

Honestly, I'm going to hate both picks. I HATE the Biden nomination this time, and if it's anyone else but Trump, I bet he has a much harder time getting re-elected.

Biden's still boring milquetoast. I'm very much okay with that given who he'll be running against.

I was hoping he wouldn't run, but I can see why he is. If he says now that he's not seeking reelection, he's a lame duck President for the next 18 months.

2020 presidential election was the only election I've voted in. The mere thought of me only voting twice in my life for Biden for the sole reason of keeping Trump and his nonsense out of office is raising some philosophical questions in my mind.

Biden is the Kirk Cousins of politics. Competent enough that he’s better than the alternative but you know you’re not gonna win a Super Bowl with him

This all stems from the democrats clearing the runway after Obama for Clinton. The Obama admin did nothing to promote their people cause it was all going to shutdown for the Clinton regime.

So now the dems have no bench, we all basically hate the Obama and Clinton people, all the gop and democratic senators that have national profiles are sad sack pieces of **** that nobody with half a brain wants near the presidency
Gop- Cruz, hawley, Rubio, rand
Dem - Warren, booker, klobuchar

There are no alternatives. The trump team will try to destroy any actual competition, and the democrats are all dodints that inherently refuse to seek base approval (sans bernie), so how do you build electoral momentum without being able to campaign or run on popular things? By going on the Sunday shows? You get nothing that way.
