It probably has existed for many moons before then, but that play was the first time I can remember hearing someone using the term 'business decision' in that context.

Not that I'm a Cam fan, but he's not played to his contract since his MVP/SB year. And to fire the head coach when your starting QB is injured is an odd move, especially considering Cam only has one year left. Just feels like weird timing, unless they're going to use the remaining games as a prolonged audition for whoever the interim guy is (presuming it's the current OC or DC).
It took an hour for Bill Cowher's name to come up on Charlotte TV.

What are your thoughts on the Tim Ryan stuff? It seems completely overblown to me, and there isn't one iota of racism in the statement he made. Was it a weird thing to say? Yeah, I guess, but he was just making a point about how the football blends in with Jackson's dark skin color. It was not pejorative or negative at all. It is painful that so many people can see "racism" in his statement.

Obviously the cancel culture/social justice lunatics are out there screaming that he should be fired, but this strikes me as a massive nothing burger.

I just read about it today. I think it's much ado about nothing, and not a huge deal. They did what they had to do, and he shouldn't have said it, but on a scale of things that are bad it's pretty low on the list.

For a while now they've been suggesting Lincoln Riley as a replacement, but today there's a rumor that JJ is courting Urban Meyer and some other college dude whose name I can't remember at the moment.

I feel like the ruling was that he didn't have two steps and a football move to have control to actually be down or fumble. So it was a live ball to take away still. Common sense would tell you that he's laying there with the ball the play should just be over. Refs need to get out of their own way sometimes. Hate to see it happen to Cleveland though
