Scores a TD to go down 30-19 and he goes for 2? Why? Even if he gets the 2, being down 9 isn't going to make much of a difference. Now if they score another TD, they definitely have to go for 2. It's not like they have Cody Parkey kicking XP's. They have one of the best kickers in the game. Mystifying.Team seems good. Coach seems excessively stupid. Are the Ravens better than we expected them to be?

It didn't work but that Ravens dropkick was pretty awesome.

Forget the cheating, and the generally disagreeable aspects of TB12 and Belicheat as people, this has always been my biggest gripe about the Pats' dynasty. Look at how many times the AFC North has sent 2 (or even 3) teams to the postseason vs how many times the AFC East has. For all intents and purposes, NE has entered every season for like 20 years with 4 or 5 wins in the bag.The pats are great. Brady is great. But the best quarterback in their division during the brady era was chad Pennington in 2002. Imagine the edge you have going into every season knowing you’re division winner by default.

If they had even one team that was competitive in their division, they win 2 less Super Bowls. Not including taking away ones they cheated to win.Forget the cheating, and the generally disagreeable aspects of TB12 and Belicheat as people, this has always been my biggest gripe about the Pats' dynasty. Good lord. That TB kicker might not want to go back to the locker room

What’s the logic behind that? I know Steelers fans especially love this logic, but it’s kind of silly. If they had even one team that was competitive in their division, they win 2 less Super Bowls. Not just the bye, but they get to play a lot of hone playoff games, too.Because they don't get an automatic first round bye mainly
If a team can reliably bank 4-6 wins a year in divisional games, they can have a losing record against the rest of their schedule and still end up with 10 wins on the season. Granted, 10 wins isn't that impressive, but having a baked-in weak schedule for 40% of your games for two decades is an inherent relief valve.

I certainly understand that’s a break in their favor. But they’ve taken advantage of it. Most of those Patriot teams were pretty dominant though, so I’m not so sure that adding a real division rival would have taken away a couple Super Bowls. I think if you did a division swap of the Steelers and the Pats the results would’ve ended very similarly in terms of SB wins.

4 games against Baltimore and Cincinnati instead of buffalo and the jets every single year would add up. It’s not just that these are bad teams. These are non-competitive teams. Reducing intensity, physicality, the need to game plan (allowing you to focus on the real games)...this matters.I certainly understand that’s a break in their favor. With that said, I don’t have a strong point. Winning 6 and going to 9 is an unreal feat - even if you regularly cheat and take advantage of a incompetent division.
