Been trying to call my son's surgeon/doctor to schedule a follow up visit. Friday, the person who schedules is off. This morning, she proposed a date that was 11 days away from current date (and 17 days away from surgery date). Mind you, he's just over a year old, and on a liquid only diet and in arm splints until this follow-up appointment, that was supposed to be scheduled in 1-2 weeks. When we scoffed at that, she said she would call us back. 5 hours later, no call back - so I call. She has to ask the doctor and he is in surgery. Okay, fine - but tell me that when I first call in the morning? Also - perhaps we could have a calendar of time available for these situations. Or perhaps, a novel concept, schedule the follow up appointment when you schedule the surgery? It's going to have to happen anyway? Run the two in tandem. We'll be at 1 week tomorrow and still no appointment is scheduled.
This doctor is great at what he does, but the administrative staff has made this overall experience go from 'okay' to annoying. And I just know, that the follow up appointment will be a 4 minute visit where we say "yep all looks good" and thank you for your copay.

Lesson learned. You never leave without scheduling a f/u

They should have scheduled it for the patient as mine did the last time I was in hospital.Lesson learned. You never leave without scheduling a f/u
It's not up to the patient and/or their family to ask for it.

I've been getting a lot of these messages for all of my Amazon orders recently:
No, Canaans, I pay for Prime so that I don't have to drive somewhere to get something.

Leave where? A nurse from CHP discharged us. She was in contact with the doctor. We never saw the doctor after surgery.Exactly…which is why you don’t leave without having a f/u scheduled

Anyway, they called back today. Told us we have an appointment "at the dental school" at 1pm next Weds.
I'm using my brain and assuming the dental school is in Oakland somewhere. She wasn't kind enough to tell my wife and and hung up abruptly. The call lasted 21 seconds. I'll be giving her a return phone call shortly to get this ironed out.

I'm only assuming Pitt dental school because they're UPMC doctors. This scheduling person is a C word

What the hell did I do to end up being subscribed to the "interesting facts" email
And why won't it actually unsubscribe when I try to unsubscribe

I somehow got subscribed to at least 3, probably more like 5, trivia emails. The more I unsubscribe from, the more I get. I like trivia but no I don't want to click your links.

I’ve learned that marathons are the worst for that. Did the Myrtle Beach marathon and accidentally let them give my information to about 6*10^8 other marathons

Bought new sticks for my Elite 2 controller, and this is the waste that they came in:
They came in a tiny bag in the tiny box, packed in the big box. Should have just come in a standard Amazon envelope.

Pants that don't have enough belt loops. I have some pairs of pants that have two loops in front, two on the sides, and only a single belt loop in the middle of the back. That's not enough. There should be at least two in back, and three would be better.
