Howie frickin' Long, but no Troy. wtf

I think it's really hard for people who didn't watch him every week for a decade to really appreciate and understand what a unique player he was. He could influence the game in so many ways that don't end up on a stat sheet, and he had a nose for the ball like pretty much no other player I've ever seen.

Aaron Donald signed. 6 years, $135MM, $87MM guaranteed. It's an extension which means he's actually signed for 7 years at $141MM.

6 Steelers on the list, no Polamalu. But Reed and Lewis are top 10.
#27 Kevin Greene - As a player, Greene was an all-time great pass-rusher, and he sits third in career sacks before the start of the 2018 campaign.

I would have lost a bet on that one, but looking at the top 10 I'm not sure who I thought was gonna be at 3. Maybe Strahan?

Wow, there are no active players in the top ten.

Edit: Wow, there is only one active player in the top ten.

Sacks have only been official since 1983 or so...just to say the words...it's not that the 10 best sack men have played in the last 35 years...that's preposterous...

Colin Cowherd the other day was talking about how hard it is to repeat as champion in the NFL. He mentioned the NBA was the easiest, followed by the NHL. And I was like, "Does he know that a large percentage of those repeat Cup winners were before 1967 when there were only half a dozen teams?"

17 in the NHA/NHL era only not including any that happened in the Original Six era...
13 in the NBA
16 in the NFL
14 in the MLB/World Series history

I did not account for 3, 4, 5+-peats they were counted as one instance of a repeat...which wasn't smart. But by the time I realized it wasn't smart, I was most of the way through...

SMDH meow can't even make it to the ECHL and this dude only needs to train for 6 months to make it to the NHL.

And this Bears fan is dancing for joy. It might not be this year but that Bears defense will be back to its vintage form by next year and hopefully the triumvirate of Trubisky/Howard/ARob can revive any sort of playoff aspirations that have been dormant since that pathetic loss in the NFC Title game to the Fudgepackers.

They're already the vintage bears. Unless you mean that one season they were good.
