Surprised this was not posted. Some more BS this time in downtown Pittsburgh.

The further these radical individuals move from the original cause the worse off for everybody, but especially those who truly care about the BLM cause. You're seeing a shift locally from unbridled support of protests to criticizing specific organizers who are doing more harm than good.

It doesn't need to be said here as I have a feeling everybody already knows this, but I am 100% for the BLM cause. These local incidents, though, are not helping anything. In fact, they're keeping away those who were there to actually protest police injustice and quickly turning public opinion against them.

Yep. Not sure harassing people who are just trying to eat dinner with their families is the best way to go about affecting the change you seek.

It's not at all. And the people seen drinking their beer and slamming a glass on the ground claimed that the beer was "offered" to them and the glass fell on accident. KDKA interviewed the couple who said they didn't give them permission to take their drink and the glass was smashed on purpose. That couple is also a supporter of BLM. Between this and yelling at minimum-wage McDonald's employees, it's not a good look.

Oh, relax. They're not domestic terrorists. We throw that "terrorist" word around so much.

They're using intimidation to further a political agenda.

Just like police incidents, these protestors that are causing the havoc are just a small subset of the overall protestors that do things right and peaceful on a daily basis. But people tend to focus on those incidents and paint the entire movement to be that way. It does not help.

We can see that it just takes a few bad apples to spoil the whole bunch.

If that's the definition you're going to go with, I assume you also call the counter-protestors who show up armed and dressed for battle as "domestic terrorists?" Aren't they also using intimidation to further a political agenda?

Just call them what everybody else is calling them: dadholes. dadholes ≠ terrorists.

Joe Biden finally rebounded a little bit on prediction markets. In terms of election chances, Biden and Trump are still a toss-up, but at least Biden went from low 51:46 to current 53.5:43.5.

In terms of Electoral College, PA,AZ,WI all moved from 50s to 60s for Biden, while NC and FL (both in low 50s) have now roughly the same chances to flip (NC toward Biden, FL toward Trump). EC prediction from PredictIt is thus still 319:219 Biden - and is remarkably stable (which may be partially due to inefficiency of PredictIt rather than the stability of the race).

Any video I've seen of the counter protestors they're passive, not actively going around screaming in people's faces. If they're going around forcing people peaceful protestors out of a specific area with threats of violence, then yes I would call them domestic terrorists.

Domestic terrorism: Violent, criminal acts committed by individuals and/or groups to further ideological goals stemming from domestic influences, such as those of a political, religious, social, racial, or environmental nature
https://www.fbi.gov/investigate/terrorism

They're destroying private property, stealing from private citizens, and harassing them. They're actions seem to fit the FBI definition.
