Years ago at my sportsmen's club, a bunch of guys pulled up in about four high-end cars and unloaded an absolute smorgasbord of full-auto goodies, including an honest-to-goodness tripod-mounted MG-42. They also pulled out like 50 ammo cans and proceeded to empty them. The sound was glorious. Alas, my club doesn't allow guns with giggle switches any more. Something about the club's insurance not covering it. Between all of them, those guys probably had a quarter million dollars of hardware.

I felt pretty silly there shooting my six-shot revolver when there were like four guys next to me all going brrrrrrt.

Sure. Fingerprints, photographs, FBI background check, $200 transfer tax, wait 6 to 12 months for BATFE approval. Also, you need to pay for it, and they run around $50,000. And you gotta feed it. Let's see, the MG-42 has a cyclic rate of around 1,200 rounds per minute or 20 rounds per second, and a box of basic 8mm Mauser is around $20 or a buck per round, so holding down the trigger will send $20 downrange every single second.

I read many years ago that the average full-auto owner made something like $250,000 per year, and that number probably needs 25 years of inflation adjustment. I recall the guy who owned it drove up in an S-Class Mercedes.

Really just a distinction without a relevant difference. So you want to argue that Biden is lying because Trump didn't call neo-nazis fine people, but that some of the people marching with the neo-nazis were fine people. And yes, Trump didn't say, specifically, some neo nazis were fine people, but most of us don't suffer online brain disease to the point where only calling nazi compatriots fine people is a hill to die on.
