Are there no Steeler db s that can learn to turn their head and look for the ball when the receiver does? H e could have easily played the ball if he had looked when Jackson did

Pretty weak. Thankfully it doesn't matter this time.

Impressive season-opening win. The Redskins aren't world-beaters, but to go on the road and dominate in the fashion they did is a great sign. Offense looks awesome. I may be saying this selfishly as a Williams owner, but I'd love to see him in full season mode. That being said, I'm sure he would wear down.

Penalized for disgusting twerking. Heres Katy Perry with your halftime show, because of her singing.

Tonight's win makes it six in a row for the Steelers vs Washington. The Steelers last lost to Washington in 1991.

I forgot what it's like watching this Steelers defense. Most of the game, they look kinda bad--missing tackles, blown coverage in the secondary, not getting off the field on 3rd down, no consistent pressure on the QB, etc. But somehow at the end of the game, you look at the scoreboard and the other team has less than 20 points.

I thought the defense played great. On the road against an offense that had some weapons, they played effective bend not break defense. They didn't give up big plays, they also played very conservative with the pass rush because there was never any reason to dial it up.

I know that Eli Rogers was the camp darling, but you had to come away impressed with the guy. One of the problems with watching a football game is you hardly get to see how the defense is covering the receivers, so at the beginning I was under the impression that Brown was getting blanket coverage and the Steelers were going to have to show that someone else could catch before anything would open up for Brown. Rogers played that role, James also played the Heath Miller role adequately. I think the Brown-Roethlisberger connection might be so good at this point that only injuries to either of those two can derail the offense.

So when you have an offense that can score, all you need to do on defense is play effective bend not break, especially on the road.

I like that Martavis Bryant was mentioned once during the broadcast, and it was in the same sentence as Heath Miller; people that Pittsburgh can move forward without.

That's not a dig on Heath, I love Heath, just pointing out the kids are alright.

Oh, for sure. DW is great but I'm not sure he has 16 of those games in the tank. The receivers look young and good, I'm hoping they can fill the MB gap. I teased Coates about having stone hands but he played well last night.

Also hoping I'm not getting too optimistic after beating the Redskins, a very hot/cold team. The Bengals game this week should be pretty great.

They just need to figure out how to manage the workload of the big three so that they can all actually play a playoff game together.

They showed a stat at one point last night that in 2015, Ben, Brown and Bell were only on the field together for 5.7% of the snaps taken.

So yeah, more cohesion and good health would be appreciated.

Thank you. I remain convinced that the Steelers beat Denver and probably win the SB last year if all were healthy enough to play.

Yeah, but then they probably would have lost to NE, so it's a moot point.

Relish the SB that was gifted to Peyton cause Denver will be irrelevant soon.

eh. I think Siemian is better than last year's Peyton and our defense is better than last year (people talk about how the defense lost Trevathan and Malik Jackson but don't talk about Shane Rey or Shaq Barrett getting bigger roles). I think we'll be in the same situation as last year aka we can win any game and lose any game, regardless of opponent
