So then what is an acceptable number of murdered journalists for the sitting US President to be 'meh, nbd' about in his official response as President, in the context of your question? Do we have to wait until the number gets to, say, six before we clutch our pearls so dearly?

I'm not putting him on a level with Putin (he's not nearly clever enough). You asked the question, that is the answer.

Also, this convo was because someone ignorantly said Russia was the same as the USA. It had nothing to do with defending trump, yet it somehow got spun there.

it is good that the President of the United States has suggested the country would be best served by executing those that provided the whistleblower with information imo. It is actually the people on Twitter that are the problem because they posted that the dam broke too many times.

Is that as big a deal as made up reports that Trump wants a moat at the boarder with electric gators or whatever? Because that received just about equal coverage from our esteemed press.
Normal people with normal lives dont have the energy to care as much as the scholars who tell us the dam is broke and this is it for Trump part 2849328.

i don't why this is so hard. if the president of the united states is allowed to have dictatorial regime investigate his political opponents then it is exactly like russia. to say it hasnt happened here in america is ludicrous given that it has happened and its happening now.
