Multiple candidates proving that the "No one is coming for your guns" line is an utter lie. I do appreciate the honesty.
They should come for your guns.

It would seem Jair Bolsonaro has his own special way of fighting off the sleepies at the G20.

86 pounds of cocaine found on plane of Brazil's anti-drug president Jair Bolsonaro

That's about $1.1 million worth of stay awake.
If the idea was to get that blow into Japan, I think whoever was trying to smuggle that cocaine should be thanking their lucky stars that it was found in Spain. While there are worse places to get caught smuggling drugs (we're all looking at you, Singapore), Japan would have to be pretty far down on the list. They are utterly humorless when it comes to drugs.

Gorsuch and Kavanaugh are acting on-brand. Roberts is proving to be the latter day Kennedy in many instances.
I don't get this comment. Most of the time they all lean in the direction they usually lean, which is the same way that the party leans that nominated them.

Many?
I would say 'more than twice' is many in this instance.
I can only think of two times. Here and Obmamcare. What was the other?
As of the close of the current session today, I think he's been the deciding vote to create a 5-4 'liberal' majority six or seven times.
A lot of the 5-4 decisions weren’t really partisan issues though

Kamala Harris might have dropped an atomic bomb on Biden's campaign last night.

New York politics and Miami politics are not the same. This may seem like an obvious statement. But at a rally today for striking workers at Miami International Airport, New York City mayor and 2020 presidential candidate Bill de Blasio broke the most obvious rule of Miami politicking: Don't quote Che Guevara.

"Hasta la victoria siempre!" de Blasio shouted, according to video taken by a CBS Miami reporter. That phrase, which translates to "Until victory, always!" or “Ever on to victory!” may sound nice, but unfortunately it's well known because Guevara was famous for using it during the 1959 Cuban Revolution

Are we acting like these debates mean anything when the news cycle is 12 hours?

Someone showed a poll after one of the first GOP debates last election cycle, and the results were absurd with Jeb Bush on top and Trump at 1% or something.

This means nothing this far out.

It'll be interesting. As was brought up in this thread, Biden's been trying to make the point that he can work with people he disagrees with to try to move the ball forward, even if incrementally. If you want to talk about reforming education and healthcare, that's the kind of attitude you're going to need. If it's Bernie or Warren, they haven't proven that they'll settle for taking positive steps, they want the big play.

How he put it might play tone deaf in a party where he needs support from minorities, but the point he's trying to make is valid.
I think the biggest problem is he wasn't loaded with a response. How his staff didn't have him prepped for that is unimaginable.

Americans for Limited Government demands that reddit be investigated by.....the government.

More evidence that "limited government" is just a partisan talking point.

She's a little woowoo, but I'd prefer her over say, Mayor Pete or Beto.

Did all of the Democratic candidates really raise their hand last night pledging free healthcare for illegal immigrants? This is just some right-wing made-up nonsense, right? I'm genuinely asking because I only caught bits and pieces of it.

If it is true, I can't imagine a better way to encourage an exponential increase in migrant traffic.

Right...that's why everyone I know who can't afford health insurance makes regular trips to Canada.

they deserve free healthcare because they're the same as you, dumb dumb.

If you pay taxes for it, you get it.
If you listen to Mayor Pete's answer, it's much more centered on the 11 million already in the country. The people who are here, who most agree deserve a pathway to citizenship, are who they're talking about.

I'm excited. So far I'm getting my student loans wiped out and the $500 a month I pay for health insurance is also getting binned. Come on Dems, keep the freebies coming.

people come here illegally. and they will continue to do so for the rest of time. if we see this as an inevitability, i don't like the notion that these people are forced to suffer because of this distinction. if you make 25K a year and pay a few dollars into the healthcare system you're covered. if you break your back keeping produce prices low, or working in the kitchens of restaurants we all go to, or build our houses or perform a number of other contributions to the national landscape...call me crazy but i'm not going to mind if your healthcare is subsidized by the rest of us. but i know...it's disgracefully compassionate.
