Arrow/Flash Thread

I think I am down to 1 flash, 2 arrow and 1 legends on the season, having watched 2, 1, and 1 yesterday respectively.

Flash:
Zoom kills Henry, Earth 2 Laurel Lance is Black Siren. Wally going all hero. And head of Mercury Labs knows Barry is the Flash.
Arrow:
So all over the place anymore. Almost as if the show is struggling to find a purpose.

Legends:
The last several episodes have the feeling that the show has already been cancelled and that they're trying to wrap things up. Whether true or not I don't know. And
Snart apparently buys the farm. But how many other times have they led us believe someone was dead only to reappear?

Legends, like the other CW shows, has been renewed.

Of ffs, there are ICBMs incoming around the world and into Star City and Arrow and Felicity are picking up mannequins and giving each other speeches.

Think I'm really done with this garbage.

Yup. The way the characters acted when THE END OF THE EFFING WORLD WAS UPON THEM made me cringe. How about Diggle's wife with her "Hey...are you doing OK? Ya know...with your brother..." thing. MAYBE NOT A GOOD TIME WOMAN!

I'm partway through the Legends season finale. It's "All Good Things" in a manner of speaking...

OK, the 4 episode crossover was actually very well done. (Well, the Supergirl episode was only a tack-on at the end)

Flash has been pretty good. But
I found it interesting they got the actor who played Draco Malfoy involved in a search for the Philosopher's Stone, which is what the title of the first Harry Potter book is in the UK.
I was going to give up on Arrow after it was so bad last year, but I heard good things about this season. First episode was actually pretty good. Less CW navel gazing and cheesy romance, more beating ass.

No posts here since December and I think I know why.

These shows have become garbage.

Flash with a LaLaLand tribute episode tonight.

And every episode there's the lead actor saying...this is the worst thing I could do. And then proceeds to do just that.

Writing has really declined and it wasn't great to begin with.

Just about done with these shows.

I watch chunks of episodes at a time, so I haven't watched since late December...other than the musical episode Tuesday night.

My wife is/was a huge Glee fan, and has watched a few of the CW shows in the past, so she wanted to check it out live.

It was OK, I guess. With so many talented musical theater actors in Supergirl/Flash/Arrow, it was only a matter of time before they tried a musical show. I liked Grant's big finale, but the rest was meh.

Kevin Smith is directing the next episode of Flash, fwiw.

That should make it worth watching.

It's hard to keep up sometimes. Flash/Arrow have been tiresome. Legends not quite as much but I'm about expecting a Newhart ending or something with all the shifting timelines.

Having watched the Flash finale last night, but not the Arrow finale (and who knows with Legends - guess it is done since it hasn't taped anything new in weeks but has at least appeared in a couple eps back on Flash when Barry borrows Snart), this seems to be a show universe that enables killed off actors to be able to remain on the show (alternate universes and all). Even multiple times in some cases.

And in the scary department, my almost 13yo daughter has picked up Arrow and Flash on Netflix. Not sure how I feel about that!

I let my 11 and 8 year old kids watch Flash, but not Arrow. Arrow's first few seasons are a bit dark, at least for my kids. My older son likes Legends of Tomorrow better than the Flash. And it has a shorter season - only 17 episodes - so it wrapped up a month or so ago.

Watched the Arrow season finale...
BOOM!
Maybe the better Arrow related event was the Celebrity American Ninja Warrior last week - where Stephen Amell did a real salmon ladder...
