I think the recent Truth campaign commercials are among the worst ad campaigns ever. They are really terrible and probably push more people to smoke than otherwise.

also, their meme commercial might be the worst commercial ever. Not only do they pander using memes, but they use them incorrectly.

Except that smoking rates for young people have been declining since they aired.

Not that they were responsible, since they were objectively horrible commercials. But they didn't cause an harm to the cause.

That's kind of the joke. Who is funneling money into a campaign that is effectively over? If they're moving on to the hooka crowd it seems like they're spending money for the sake of themselves. Hooka is more of a destination/appointment activity, not something you do mindlessly while waiting for the bus.

I know everyone is sick of DraftKings/FanDuel, myself included. So imagine my surprise and annoyance when The League allowed them to write in a 45 second spot into the TV show. They walk in and a commercial for it is on TV, and they have a 45 second riff about one week leagues. I'm not sure I've ever seen anything so overt.

I hate the VW commercials with the old women oogling over younger men.

Primarily because I know if the roles were reversed (older men oogling younger women), the outrage and backlash would be apocalyptic.

Theres a radio commercial I heard yesterday for a construction company or supply store or something or other. It starts out

"When the boss asks you when that new building will be finished...but you havent even started yet!!..."

What the hell kind of scenerio is that? A building isnt like a book report someone would put off until the week its due. And I assume its only 1 person building this building? Or did the entire crew decide to slack off for nearly a year and no one says anything? I guess the boss of a construction company just doesnt bother checking in on the progress until its supposed to be done, too.

I'm watching some Sleepy Hollow. Really annoyed at just how many Christmas commercials there are. It's so saturated, I'd guess about 80% of the commercials are Christmas themed.

Then I remembered that I'm watching on the DVR, and it was recorded 11 months ago. Derp.

Norm can do no wrong for me. The commercials are just odd, almost in the "these are so bad, that they're kinda good."

Add those DraftKings commercials on The Fan.
