They force fed him alcohol, he fell down stairs, and they didn't take him to the hospital right away. Very negligent.
I don't disagree but he chose to join the frat and we all know what frats are like and do.
Also, his parents should have discouraged him from joining a frat. My son had no interest in joining one but I would have done my best to discourage him from joining or at least making sure he knows the risks. I think they are blight on college life.

Fairfax thing:
Is the statute of limitations up? It seems much more recent than so the Kavanaugh stuff.
Likewise, is the legislature the proper place for an investigation. I always hear from Title IX advocates that small groups make the victim feel more at ease and under less scrutiny. You'd think the AG's office would set something like that up first if they were pressured to.

So if a sorority girl goes to a party, is force fed too much booze, passes out and gets raped your excuse would be well that's what happens at frat parties?

Didn't say anything close to that. I said the kids bears some of the responsibility. Specifically the drinking.

I was never planning a vote prior to the 2020 Election on the wonderful HealthCare package that some very talented people are now developing for me & the Republican Party. It will be on full display during the Election as a much better & less expensive alternative to ObamaCare......This will be a great campaign issue. I never asked Mitch McConnell for a vote before the Election as has been incorrectly reported (as usual) in the @nytimes, but only after the Election when we take back the House etc. Republicans will always support pre-existing conditions!
This guy just needs to stop talking

You originally said "much of the responsibility". Little difficult when he's dead. If I recall, they continued to feed him alcohol after he fell. At a certain point it goes from drinking to abuse/negligence if you can't see that then don't bother to respond.

Can't believe this couldn't put the republican over the top.
In the campaign's final hours Monday, the state Republican Party issued a robocall from Donald Trump Jr., urging listeners to vote for Raja and saying Iovino has a "liberal and extreme agenda" and supports "radical policies like New York's late-term law, socialist medicine and the government taking more of our money."

One of Raja's attack ads on TV accused Iovino of supporting "taxpayer-funded third-trimester late-term abortions," while another waved at the Green New Deal and said Iovino has "teamed up with extremists who want to stop our growth with billions in new energy taxes."

Congress must get together and immediately eliminate the loopholes at the Border! If no action, Border, or large sections of Border, will close. This is a National Emergency!
last week it was going to close because of Mexico, now it's Congress.

I hope he shuts down the border. It'll create an economic disaster that his dumbass will never recover from.

Alrighty.

I will proceed as if there is no possible justification given the most zealous advocate here for that position declines to raise an argument.
I assume you're talking about my position during the Kavanaugh hearings. If so, these aren't really apples to apples situations. Kavanaugh was part of a confirmation hearing to determine suitability to serve on the court; Fairfax is already in a position, and having a hearing now opens up a can of worms to having a hearing anytime someone wants one. If the two women would like to pursue legal action, and can do so, they should. If something is turned up, then determine if Fairfax should be booted.

Also, how does shutting down the border stop illegal border crossing? Wouldn't that just increase illegal border crossing?

Wasn't trying to be a dick last night, and apologize if I came across that way, just sometimes comes across as a game of "I'll prove your partisanship."

If you think a couple kids getting a slap on the wrist from the legal system from the result of the kid losing his life that should hold some/much of the responsibility because he should know what happens at frat parties then that is your opinion and there is no sense to continue the discussion.

The House Judiciary Committee voted Wednesday to authorize a subpoena to compel the Justice Department to hand over special counsel Robert Mueller’s full report to Congress.

The committee voted 24-17 along party lines to approve a resolution authorizing subpoenas for Mueller’s report, including accompanying exhibits and other attachments, as well as its underlying evidence, at a business meeting Wednesday morning. The resolution also authorizes the committee's Democratic chairman to subpoena testimony related to the special counsel's report.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) said he would give Attorney General William Barr time to produce the final, unredacted report to Congress before issuing the subpoena, however he did not provide a timeline on when that would happen.

“I will give him time to change his mind,” Nadler said.

No, I get it. I respect your point of view which is why I asked. I look forward to when I have time to spar with you on stuff; it's just not that time for me right now. I really don't want to half-ass stuff like that so I just don't do it at all. That's why 98% of my posts are superficial; I want to make it clear that I didn't put any work into it lest it be confused for something I genuinely care about. Basically, you should be able to tell when I'm trying.

Can we talk about how anyone who uses the terms "left, right, liberal, conservative" to paint a private citizen who isn't paid to hold or propagate political opinions is just an idiot falling for some tribalistic bullshit

I'm so tired of people on social media painting an opinion as right or left without even **** listening

Can we generalize about people you barely know who are generalizing about people based on low information inputs?

Sure, go for it.

Law and Order tough talk creeping into the regulatory state.
President Donald Trump put Amazon, eBay and Alibaba and other online marketplaces on notice Wednesday, signing a memorandum that aims to curb the sale of counterfeit items online.

"This is a shot across the bow to those companies. If you don't clean it up, then the government will," Trump trade advisor Peter Navarro told reporters.
