Got my bonus stuff. Working for a company invested in this COVID stuff made it an amazing year.

Got our bonuses yesterday, enough to pay off a car, couple pesky credit cards, the last of my income tax and bank a few grand towards a bathroom remodel.

I don’t think people appreciate enough how lucrative our bonus plan is.

Just got my bonus info today as well.. and ditto. Best bonus I've had in almost 10 years with the company.

My annual raise was the standardish 2.5%.

In any event it is again why I am very thankful for the position I'm in and the job security I have overall.

Ever since 2018-ish I was moved up into the higher %age bonus band and I have yet to actually receive a bonus in that band. I think i'm in the 10% of base salary now (up from 5%). They keep telling us we're on track for one, paid out in July (calculated in June). So I am sure hoping that is the case.

Frickin' seriously. I'm supposed to hear about my "bonus" any day now...and I'm not expecting it to be good.

Any of youse know if your fine establishments are hiring tax professionals???

Last year was my first year in the 10% bonus of base salary..and we had one of our lowest bonuses ever. This year makes up for it though. Hit 106% of our AI target.

I'd trade my $750 bonus for an actual raise. This was the first year I haven't gotten a raise in a decade, I think. First world problem, though.

This. Haven't had a bonus or raise in two years. Supposed to change this year, but we'll see.

We usually get a 2ish% bonus based off performance reviews. We didn't get one last year due to COVID. I'd hope we'd get one this year, but not holding my breath.

Yeah, I shouldn't complain. We struggled for a while under Covid to the point where we were pretty sure layoffs were coming. We have apparently done better than anticipated over the last 4 months, which is a relief.

I am surprised that the destruction of the restaurant industry had such limited impact to the broader economy.

I stand corrected. Just found out my bonus/raise amounts and am stunned. Way more than I expected. I now join the 5AF Job and General Employment Thread Upper Crust.

Virtual Five!

I'll find out at the beginning of April whether my requested "promotion" raise was granted or not. Like you, I'm going in with low expectations.

Found out that I made it to the in person interviews. Haven't heard anything past that, and have to alert my boss once that happens. Woot, and blech.

This is what I've been telling my boss(es) for years and I mentioned it when I took the promotion out of their chain. Sprinkle all the $500-$1000 bonuses you want but it means a lot less than bumping me the next rung up the pay scale.

Coworker/good friend just put in his two weeks today. He, another coworker and I IM each other quite often about our distaste for the company, so it isn’t surprising.

Problem is they won’t backfill the position and his work will just be given to me and the other guy, the other two remaining engineers.

I like the work I do and the people I work with, but it may be time to polish the resume. No promotion to anybody in our group in the 9 years I’ve been there. And the company prides itself as a Fortune 500 company that values their most valuable resource, their employees. Bullshit
