Since I gave a solid "4" effort, I downloaded the ESPN+ app and found out that the game was blacked out. Since it was just a 4, I didn't bother trying to work around the problem. Instead, I listened to the radio broadcast. God bless is soul, but billy hillgrove has a tough time following a game when he is there in person. Billy trying to call a game that he is watching on a TV with no sound and a million stoppages in play for silly reviews is a tough road to hoe.

But I'm sad the super panther season is over.

I was listening on the radio. During the first Davis run to start the game, Hilgrove was like "he's at the 50, the 40, the 30, the 20, the 15, the 10, the 15 and is tackled at the 14."

The next two plays he kept saying they were at the 14. Finally on 3rd down, Larry jumped in and said "it's 3rd and goal at the 9". Hillgrove was like "oh, you're right".

Dude needs to hang it up. I love his voice and he has been a great one. But time has passed him by. He literally can't follow/call a game anymore.

I've never heard Rob King call a game, so I'd say no. Not that he would be bad. I believe Larry Richards has called games in place of Hillgrove in the past.

I was impressed with GT when they played Clemson. Finally done with that D3 triple option nonsense.

That guy is salty as hell though. Probably pissed they had to play the game.

Rob King has filled in on Steelers broadcasts but for Pitt its typically just someone from The Fan. Jeff Hathorn typically.

Hillgrove was suspended for the first two games of the season (both Steelers and Pitt) due to his DUI. As for Alexander, he’s been on the comeback trail and seems to be on The Fan pretty frequently anymore.

Ah - haven't listened to Fan in ages, didn't know he was coming back. I just know he was removed fairly quickly from the morning show whenever it started.
