Yeah no doubt it's a good idea to have it across as many platforms as possible. I just don't know how the switch runs it unless its gimped majorly. That's awesome. I don't have a Switch but Nintendo seems to always struggle with 3rd party support.

Well at least it won't be as bad as Call of Duty for Wii. Or NHL on Wii. Or basically any 3rd party game on Wii.Yeah no doubt it's a good idea to have it across as many platforms as possible. Destiny 2 was just meh for me.

Well it's not like Destiny players weren't used to PS players getting early access to exclusives (armor, maps, etc) since Sony had a deal with Activision previously.
The new expansion comes out 2/22/2022. I just hope that Bungie can maintain the course and not let the new bosses dictate the direction of the franchise. They've really been finding their groove and having a large number of loose ends from the last 7 years tie together story-wise.

Feels like a panic move. We're going in the wrong direction here. What else does Bungie have going on? Seems like this is $3.6 Billion for one franchise.
Also this means Sony owns the company behind the original Halo trilogy while Microsoft owns Crash Bandicoot.

So, $3.6B to make sure Microsoft doesn't buy them."Sony has said Bungie will remain a multiplatform studio, with the option to self-publish and reach players wherever they choose to play."

I'm surprised about how well Skyrim Special Edition runs on it. It's an older game and they definitely tweaked things like draw distance and water shaders, but it runs great.Yeah no doubt it's a good idea to have it across as many platforms as possible. Bungie has been developing a multimedia platform for Destiny beyond the games. I'm guessing Sony also sees the potential there, whether it be a TV series or movie.
They also have other IPs in the pipeline.

i mean this is a pretty good example of horizontal integration and they are capturing revenue from a profitable company they werent before (anything xbox related) theres probably an return on the purchase somewhereFeels like a panic move. By the way, this has been confirmed to also launch on Game Pass day one.
Now on the Switch. Interesting.

https://hitechglitz.com/sega-sells-the- ... s-forever/Sega leaves Japanese arcades behind.
The company announced that it was selling its remaining arcades to a company called Genda, Inc. (aka GiGO), permanently exiting the coin business in which it initially made its name.
Sega’s first arcade game was Periscope, which came out in the late 1960s, and since then the company has been a major player in the arcade industry. Although arcades around the world have steadily declined over the past 20 years due to the ubiquity of console and PC gaming, they have held a fairly important place in Japanese gaming culture.
In 2020, however, even Japan's arcades were reeling with the COVID-19 pandemic. In late 2020, Sega sold 85% of its stake in the company’s arcades, operated by its Sega Entertainment division, to Genda. Now, as new variants of COVID-19 emerge and the arcade business continues to struggle, Sega has also sold its remaining stake in Genda, according to Eurogamer and Tojodojo.
Sega arcades will be rebranded to GiGO across Japan, according to a tweet by Genda Managing Director Takashi Kataoka.

Hmm. I wonder how that will affect the Yakuza games. Sega Arcades have been in every game so far.

BF2042 Season 1 pushed back to "early" summer. Unreal. I've never been so sad to see a game franchise killed by awful decisions, awful dev companies, and EA.

It's unreal how they really botched the **** out of this game. It had all of the pieces most people wanted - large scale, modern combat, cross-play - and it's awful.
I'm home this morning and attempted to jump on a 64 player Breakthrough map. I have crossplay on, and it took about five minutes to start a match. 15 humans and the rest AI bots to start. On a three month old, AAA title. It's really sad.
The game will be dead by early summer - I doubt it would've made it until March, when the first season was scheduled to start.
Good thing those of us with Gold and Ultimate editions get a few extra skins and player cards for our troubles.

For all of my gripes about Halo, I'm glad it's nowhere near as bad as BF2042.

I do believe at this point, they should 100% be allowed to be sued, or get full refunds for their use of "live" service. It's unreal how they really botched the **** out of this game. It had all of the pieces most people wanted - large scale, modern combat, cross-play - and it's awful.

I appreciate making racists folks feel dumb, but I don't think that's actually the companies replying there.

@nocera: Bought my Elite 2 on 12/31, and stick drift is so bad on the move stick that I just started a warranty exchange on it. Hoping for a quick turnaround, because there’s no way I’m playing Halo with the standard XSX controller.
