Feeling little to no empathy for the unvaxxed dying? Sure, I'm at that point. Actively rooting for them to die? Yikes.

Our resident anti covid vaccine mook at work has been AWOL this week. I suspect he got the 'rona, cause no one has mentioned it and his boss is dealing with the stuff he normally does. Ya hate to see it.

A 28-year-old middle school teacher in our district died from COVID-19, as did an 18-year-old high school student. From the sounds of things, neither were vaccinated.
“Sound of things”, more like from empirical evidence of vaccine efficacy

I don't think anyone non-vaxxed should get priority treatment. That's just stupid.

Two kids in my neighborhood have tested positive (both under 12). Fortunetly little to no symptoms. Hopefully the vax for kids can come sooner rather than later.

I mentioned my mom who tested positive 2 weeks ago after being vaxxed and having it last year, well my BIL just tested positive as well after being vaxxed and having it last year. Again, fortunate for both, they just had your normal everyday cold symptoms and had a quick turnaround.

The district superintendent sent out an all-district email announcing the deaths, funeral arrangements, and then reiterated the need for everyone to be vaccinated and wear masks where applicable. I took that to mean they were unvaccinated people dying.

Still sounds like late October is the target for the 5-11 age group.

A distinction without any meaning.

In the sense that they are exhausting medical resources and deliberately acting as vectors for the disease, certain regions are better off with them dying.

These are observations of the population as a whole, with the understanding that it does have personal implications. It’s not like anyone is hoping their unvaccinated uncle dies.

I’d say anyone under 18 should still get priority treatment. If you are over say, 30, and not vaxed, straight hospice

Well put.

I'm not going to walk up to an unvaxxed person and tell them or their kids I hope they die. However, their death leads to a better world overall (better healthcare, less chance of covid to spread/mutate, etc.), which I am all for.

Or when someone dies because hospitals are full of fat people and there's no room for the person with a life threatening injury or condition.

Smoking isn't "contagious", but man, it sucks to be near a smoker...even outside...

It eats up healthcare, is a choice, and would lead to a better world.

This week UPMC Somerset put up a tent outside the hospital to handle the overwhelming number of patients coming into the emergency room.
