Speaking of shoveling/clearing... what's the strategy for a foot+ of snow? Wait til it's all down and then clear? Clear a few times? I'm planning on waiting until this evening to do any clearing.
I lied about shoveling. I have a snow blower. It leaks oil and smells of gas but it blows snow so I don't care.

Hah, my stepdad would always be out there every hour on the hour. I am a procrastinator and would rather only have to get bundled up once.

Re: offsides ... Well then move.
I've lived in the same house for 44 years and am too old to move anywhere. I can't even imagine clearing all this junk i have accumulated over the years. My kids will have quite a time clearing this stuff.

I've been out twice so far. It is too heavy wet snow for me to wait till it is deep.

Yeah... I just bought a snow blower. I'm not going out until there's at least 6 or so inches.

Depends. If you have a large snow blower that can handle a foot plus, then wait.

If you have to manually shovel, I'd say it depends how fit you are. If you are young and fit, just wait. If you are old and a piece of pooh, shovel multiple times.

If you are somewhere in between, then shovel more, but not all at once.

I imagine the concept of snow days (emergency weather) will be rather fleeting, even when we get back to it, eh boys...?

Would be better than before. If it dropped a couple inches overnight, we never shut down and our options were come in or take PTO, regardless of the fact I could have (and already was) doing my job from home once a week.

I wait, as few trips as possible. If I'm not going anywhere I won't do it at all as it will eventually melt off. Unless I'm expecting a package, then I'll clear a path for the delivery folks. I had a really steep driveway when I lived in Allison Park though.

Sucked when I lived in downtown Greensburg, had to shovel the public walk. F that.

Who buys a snowflake snowblower that can't handle 12 plus inches.

I'd say 6" at a time. More than that can be difficult

Can't do the front drive and the back door at the same time, I reckon.

It’d be cool if they plowed our road here. I’d like to go get my son.
