We don’t have enough people who know how to weld, as the trades aren’t doing well.

Maybe we need to us China's plan. Seems to have worked for them. Just weld the doors shut for a few weeks and it will be gone.
Like a miracle!

We essential quarantine right now, only leaving for masked walks and grocery store trips, and my in-laws are even more isolated. So we will do Thanksgiving with them, but we all have the understanding of basically isolating for two weeks.

In MA, the big issue has been indoor gatherings, which is why businesses have not be shut back down even though our numbers are close to first-wave peak. Governor is "terrified" of what Thanksgiving will bring, but you cannot enforce no indoor gatherings so they haven't tried. They have just done some public health initiatives and gave out recommendations...

We’d love to do thanksgiving with our family, but my one sister goes out more than I’m comfortable with, so we made the call to stay home.

Yeah, it will be a total of 4 of us and we all had to agree to a stringent level of quarantine for us to be comfortable.

It’s nice that they all agreed to do it. I’m going to see if I can get them to do it for Christmas, because I know my daughter really wants to open presents together like we normally do.

I've spent the last 2 years of holidays alone so it's not much different for me then my new normal. I have my boy this year so it's a bonus.

Looks like most of us will be able to get a vaccine by April, if one wants it.

"If one wants it" shouldn't be a thing. Get the **** vaccine or lose the right to participate in society.

I don't care if someone wants to go all tin foil hat and not get vaccinated but if they choose not to, no subsidizing their healthcare costs in any way, shape, or form. for health insurance it should be like the tobacco surcharges. don't want to get vaccinated? fine but you'll be paying more per month than the people who do.

I'm curious about that study finding it in Milan in September. When were we seeing the people dying in streets in Wuhan? That was in January/February, right? I don't remember seeing these issues anywhere else around the world until then and after.

And you'll also be on a no-fly list, unable to attend work/school, and be banned from sporting events, concerts, and theme parks.

Everyone remain calm. If you get it, you don't have to worry about who doesn't.

Most people will. There aren't going to be many viable hosts available for the virus to infect.

However I do look forward to this being the next PSA du jour.

Now, back to reasonable thinking, what is the word on the targeted date for the first public doses? Public meaning people within the populations they choose to target first.

As I understand it the runout period for monitoring on Pfizer monitoring is within the next few days? Moderna probably has a little longer since they filled their enrollment just last week, right? But as soon as the runout period is done they can pretty much start the next day right?

Moderna filled their quota of infections I believe last week, not enrollment.

They will both be able to be distributed some time in December I believe.

Whoever was taking on GMA this morning was saying that maybe end of December for the "most vulenrable" seems to be a target. Not sure if that is doable, but would be a good start.
