The City is facing some First Amendment issues here. The Antwon Rose picture and the "Black Lives Matter" sign in the retaining walls downtown near the Point were painted without permits and permission. Articles from that time say that Peduto "accepted" the murals and asked the public-works department to not paint over them. Basically, they were graffiti themselves at the time they were painted. The only difference between the original unauthorized painting of the murals and someone "vandalizing" those murals by painting is the message conveyed. And that raises First Amendment issues. If the City declined to punish the people who painted those murals in the first place, but they punish people who "vandalize" them, then that would be different enforcement based on the messages involved.

For the most part that base is all talk. Sure there are some who are just looking for an excuse but even then they won't have the support they think they have and it will amount to nothing. His base doesn't work at the white house or occupy those kinds of military roles.

Biden up 2.3% tonight so far

Make it +3.7% (at 58.4%)!! I had to put the kids to bed after ~35-40 minutes, when Biden was up by maybe 1%. I thought it could not get more terrible. What happened after that??
