FB is already loaded. I have a few FB friends that post everything without reading anyway so today should be a treat. I wonder how many celebrities are going to die today...

April Fools is only fun when it is a prank and it doesn't involve the internet.

So Mcdonalds is serving breakfast 24/7 now, ABOUT TIME.
All day is a bit overkill, but my god finally you don't have to wake up before sunrise to get breakfast.

All I want is to get a Sausage McGriddle at 1130. Is that too much to ask?

I refuse to believe that on this April day of Fools.

So it's day one without a job.

I am getting more communication from a company that wants me to start with them in late June than the one that wants to bring me back to the same position within the week.

Last time I ate a muffin with ham and egg at McD's, it sucked. Felt like they took a badly defrosted muffin out of a microwave and put some below-average ham on it. The egg was good.

I like the BK version much better. But my favorite such breakfast is at Wawa's. Man, it's fresh and tasty.

Wawa also have my favorite CHOCOLATE DONUTS. I refuse to eat at Dunkin Donuts anymore, as theirs make a ball of clay in my belly right after eating. Try these at Wawa, guys.

You should fire your company for what happened yesterday. If you have alternatives.

Technically I can't.

Without going too deep into details, because I'm not 100% sure what I can and cannot say: my contract was terminated yesterday for the sake of a buyout. I'm coming back to the same company, same position, same laptop and desk, same everything. Because my buyout couldn't take place until a certain time, company #2 couldn't officially start my transition until today. So what I get is a few unpaid days of vacation, although my unused vacation from company #1 may cover any lost time.

What I can talk about: I have stuff on the back burner in case of some sort of legal BS. Aside from a few parking and speeding tickets (which I found out in 2012 will show up in a Secret Clearance interview...yes, parking tickets!), there's nothing on my record. I have one company willing to make me an offer right now. Another place, the one mentioned in the previous post, wants to bring me in around July (pending their stage 2 interview.) The latter has a nice pay increase, but I won't know more about that until probably May.

What do people normally spend on their kids for easter? Wife and I went shopping for them yesterday and I think we spent entirely too much. Probably spent over $100 on each of them (one is almost 2 and one is almost 4).

Hope ya feel better, but when I read this I immediately thought of the scene in Grumpy Old Men where they are comparing ailments in the pharmacy.

Maybe you should go see a doctor and get some serious pain meds because this will last a while. Don't know if you have insurance but, for instance, my doctor takes $60 for a visit, non-insured.

Yeah, way too much.

Our kids are older (15 and 12) and get concert tix or a video game and some candy.

For 2 and 4, some peeps, some plastic eggs filled with candy and some dyed eggs should be more than enough. Maybe a DVD they like.

I bought $67 of candy yesterday for 3 boys. My wife will pick up a book for each of them. I get to eat a share of the candy.
