I don't see you doing anything about it.

In fact, you seem to be relishing that people are appalled by it.
I've shown more concern over it just today than your phony ass has up until 1/2017.

What are you doing about it other than dodinting on a message board?

I'm not the one who suggested helping out.

But I'm trying to make a point here.
You have now successfully completed your transition from Republican to Democrat...

Based on ElectionBettingOdds.com (aggregator of Betfair and Predictit odds) , conditional on being the Republican nominee (90% chance), Donald Trump now has over 52% chance to win the Presidency against the whole field (46.7% Winning Presidency divided by 89.7% winning the R-Primary):

THe >50% reelection chances for DT are happening for the first time in this election cycle (I think) - and can possibly correspond to the slide of Joe Biden's chances to secure the nomination:

I hadn't heard about this new trend:
Throwing milkshakes at right-wing politicians is a tactic of British progressive activists that recently traveled to this side of the Atlantic. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R–Fla.) was hit with one earlier in June. The tactic has its defenders in mainstream left-of-center media as well: Vox's Carlos Maza tweeted "milkshake them all" after a British activist hurled a milkshake at Nigel Farage.

I was thinking they were throwing spoiled milk milkshakes but they only had vegan ones available to throw.

So beating up a journalist is just a "distraction"? Does that make it acceptable?

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) called former special counsel Robert Mueller an "anal opening" ahead of the former FBI chief's public testimony before Congress.

“He’s done some irreparable damage to some things and he’s got to answer for them,” Gohmert told Politico. He is one of 25 Republicans on the House Intelligence and Judiciary committees who get to grill Mueller during the back-to-back hearings scheduled later this month.

Regarding the use of the term "floater", that's not really that surprising. I'm sure, much like homicide detectives, that's a term that is pretty commonly used to describe floating bodies. When you see that crap on a common basis you almost have to think that way or else it will destroy you from the inside out. Some of the other stuff in that group is pretty wild, but I don't think the use of that word is that crazy or evil.

I also share the confusion as to why that photo was ever used to condemn Trump in the first place. Yeah, some guy trying to drag his child across a wide, flowing river and getting him killed in the process.... Not our fault. Horrible tragedy, but we cannot be expected to build pedestrian bridges up and down the Rio.

Anyone can answer, but WK posted the Huffpost link that functionally makes that argument.

This is typical bullsht victim blaming by a leftist rag. "He had it coming". The far left Antifa types in Portland and Seattle are some of the most violent groups out there.

That's not quite how it happened. The father made it across with the girl and told her to wait while he swam back to get his wife. The girl panicked and tried to swim back by herself and got caught in the current, dad took off to help her.

But yes, my understanding of the 'floater' thing is that it's common parlance among first responders. However, the is a smorgasbord of vile comments from that Facebook group that removes them from pretty much all mitigating benefit-of-the-doubt considerations. CBP has chronically been a problem child agency sort of since its inception. Something like 1/3 of agents self-report witnessing misconduct on the job, and they've recently been averaging around 250 employees a year who are arrested for felonies. I don't know how that compares to other agencies, but bith of those figures sound like a lot to me.

The most surprising part about that story to me is that someone drowned in the Rio Grande. I assume there had been some recent spring storms somewhere upstream, because a lot of the time that river barely has any water in it at all.

The Arkansas river around Tulsa barely has water in it usually and it is extremely dangerous to cross.

Complaining didn't work, so a man threw a birthday party for a pothole. Within days, the city fixed it.https://edition.cnn.com/2019/07/01/us/m ... ium=social

Colin Kaepernick jumped the shark a number of years ago. As one of the Twitter comments pointed out, I'm sure there are plenty of white nationalists that love Craft Beer, Chipotle, Marvel movies, etc. Is Colin going to tell us that we can't like those anymore? Social justice stuff going off the rails, again.

The swastika had a certain significance in Hindi/Middle Eastern culture before the Nazis co-opted it.

Maybe it's a good thing people don't want to associate themselves with things being used by hate groups?
