Beer tip for Shaf: I was on Fruitville Pike today and see that Weis (near the Barnes and Noble) has a beer garden now. I didn't stop in but will be doing so in the near future.
Thanks!! I had heard whispers about Weis opening beer gardens in the Lancaster area but hadn't heard much more. If you happen to stop in there let me know how the selection is.

Went to Voodoo for a friend's small fundraiser. Had Cowbell for the first time, on Nitro no less. So goddamn good.

Love that you can finally get 12 packs in PA. Makes it more palatable to try new variety packs.

Grabbed the Voodoo variety pack... Been wanting to try them and now I can try 6.

Had the "pleasure" of having this conundrum last night in Charlotte after I missed my connecting flight to PGH. Ended up getting a Goose Island IPA at the bar. Not my favorite beer, tastes pretty much like every other generic IPA I've had.

In Houston, however, I went to a Vietnamese restaurant where I got a Tree Shaker IPA from Odell and a scotch ale from Sierra Nevada. Now those two definitely won my approval!

The Evil Monkey "I'll have what she's having", aka a choc hazlenut imperial stout, is ok. There's no sign of hazlenut but the chocolate is very apparent.

Think I rated it a 3.5/5 on untappd.

Stopped by Arsenal tonight... Tried a glass of semi-sweet blueberry cider which was quite good. Picked up a growler of Archibald's ado for the picnic tomorrow and another of sour cherry for later enjoyment.

That choc hazlenut imp stout gave me a headache. Only beer I had last night, and yes it was a 9+ ABV, but I should not have any sign of a hangover from one beer almost 12 hrs later.

Aside from the cider, had Voodoo Love Child, White Magick of the Sun, and Grand Met. All good, all strong... Pretty buzzed right now. Even the wit was 7.9...ridiculous.

Anderson Valley blood orange gose is terrific, maybe a little too terrific.

Had an alpine Hoppy birthday on tap last night. Then I had another. This might be the best APA I've ever had. Certainly the best I can remember at the moment.

I don't think I've ever disagreed with you more... That was a salty mess of a drain pour for me.

I tried another gose from them at a Beerfest last year that was ok. Not really my thing, but the blood orange gose... Really didn't work for me.

no bueno? I tried it again over the weekend, and I didn't like it as much as I originally did.

It wasn't terrible and the summer themed beer that I originally described it as would still be accurate, but if I could re-rate it, it would lose at least half a point.

Had to throw the rest of my Left Hand Milk Stout down the drain after a few sips. It was way too sweet and I'm not a big fan of milk tasting drinks.

Opened up a Stone IPA which is offsetting the taste.

Grabbed some Swiss, Belgian, and Lichtenstein (and American of course) brews to try out for Memorial Day. The Europeans are stepping up their IPA and Pale Ale game. About to open a Belgian Blond called Cuvee Des Trolls.

Had a couple cans of Stiegl lager over the weekend. With each drink, the more you are transported to a Oomp Pa Pa Oktoberfest event. Light, little malt, little yeast, little hops. Austrian beer goodness.

I was staring into a chill chest at one of the local marts, and the beer guys asks, "Want to try something a little hoppy?" Yes, please. Very good stuff.

Hell or high watermelon isn't too bad. I was expecting a lot worse. Nice lawnmower beer. More like a jolly rancher than actual watermelon.

Founders rubaeus is really great. I didn't have high expectations for either of these, but I'm considering buying more.
