Bring waterproof shoes so you can easily hose off the human feces and hippy stink.

Book Alcatraz way in advance. It's real tough to find a way on the island once you're in town.

^Good advice. We got lucky and landed tickets day-of, but that was sheer luck as it was supposed to rain and I suppose some people cancelled. It didn’t rain, and we enjoyed the trip.

Also: Lombard Street is a Mecca for car break-ins. If you want to walk the hill, take an Uber/Lyft.

Are the Giants in town while you're there? That ballpark is a pretty nice place to watch a game.
I'd agree with all that's been said here about Alcatraz, the Wharf, etc. I drove the Lombard twist and I thought it was a blast. What tripped me out was the long climb up the steep hills by the Coit Tower where it felt like the car might flip backwards (same with in a couple of parking garages). The one thing I didn't do that I wish I had was find my way onto a cable car, especially one that goes up California Street (I think that's the one with the giant hill in the middle of the city). I found it a great city to visit but I definitely wouldn't want to live there.

Best thing I ever heard a ballpark usher say at a ballpark was at a Giants game: “When it says no smoking, everybody, it means no smoking ANYTHING!”Are the Giants in town while you're there? That ballpark is a pretty nice place to watch a game.

Great park.
See the cable car museum. They show the mechanisms and how it works . Super cool.

I don't even like baseball and I had a great time there; we walked to one of the games from our apartment.
Cable cars are a surprisingly useful things. And yes, the main east-west route is California St, and the Powell St line takes you over the hill from Market to the Wharf. Pro tip: Don't get on a cable car at an end point. Go a couple stops into the line and get on there. It will be a bit crowded on the car, but you won't have to wait in a 60-minute line to board.

Spent the entire day at the pool and beach yesterday. It was super humid and hot…eve with spf 50 I still got burned up as did my wife and she never ever burns.
Sun here is no joke. Bought a upf rated swim shirt to wear in the pool today to not get scorched again.

Weather wreaking havoc on our return from Jamaica. We at least made it to charlotte on time but our flight back to Pittsburgh has been delayed twice and now isn’t leaving till after midnight.

We just had a storm system roll through town that dropped 6.5" of rain in about 3 hours. Crazy.

Headed to Emerald Isle next week, first time in 4 years. Except for a shark fishing expedition, no plans whatsoever except sitting on the beach and drinking.

Delayed again to 1252. If we get home before 5am it’s a win at this point. At least neither of us work until Wednesday.

I assume skully will be on American Airlines 1962.
Your A321 is currently over Tennessee. I don't see any weather that would have delayed it leaving Phoenix, so it might have been mechanical and not weather. I suppose you could always ask the people getting off if they were given a reason for the delay.

Just assumed weather but who knows. We originally had a different plane taking us back but it switched to the one coming from phoenix after the 2nd delay. I can see that incoming flight on the app so I know that’s the plane we are taking home.
Also our bag is already in Pittsburgh. It got put on an earlier flight. My AirTag shows it at Pittsburgh international already.
