Yeah, certainly worth a shot. Get the cheese curds.

Yeah, I'm really curious what nocera likes if Culver's is gross...
That said, fast food can really vary from location to location. We hardly eat fast food, but aside from McD, BK, and Subway (if you count it), most chains are at least in play.

Well I only had it once but the butter burgers leave a weird film in your mouth and taste like plastic. They do have cheese curds though.Yeah, I'm really curious what nocera likes if Culver's is gross...

I had a Culver's burger over New Years and couldn't figure out what that taste was. It's definitely plastic and that film is definitely weird.Well I only had it once but the butter burgers leave a weird film in your mouth and taste like plastic. A few years ago I was driving through the mountains in Arizona and finally hit a town. I had been putting off eating all day but was super hungry and finally gave in and pulled through a Wendy's and got a burger. It was okay, but I was super pissed when I was leaving the other side of town and there was a Culver's.

Culver's has only semi-recently come to the Southeast. I rarely eat their food but after a round of golf, we have been known to enjoy fries with cheese sauce and a nice Concrete.

Burger to burger I slot it right above Wendy's I'd say. The fries weren't that great, just seemed to be ore Ida crinkle cut, and the curds were just, well curds. Kinda like pizza, even bad pizzas still good lol. The ice cream custard was really good. I went for the full experience. Vacation, I guess.

on a neighborhood forum, someone mentioned the Superbar that Wendy's had back in the 80s. I had completely forgotten this was a thing.

Oh man, that brings me back. Not every Wendy's had them, either. I had two locations near me, and only one had the SuperBar.

I had Wendy's for lunch about three weeks ago and it was probably the last time I get fast food for a long time. The spicy chicken sandwich was as reliable as always, but the sandwich plus large fries and an iced tea should not cost almost $13.
I can get a pastrami and cheese from the Primanti Bros. right next to it for just shy of $10.

Both Mickey D’s and Starbucks reported volume declines in recent periods. I do think the American consumer has finally drawing the line in the sand on food inflation

They did report volume declines but they also reported increased revenue. They're making more money moving less product. A good gig if you can get it.

Fast food always had to pay over minimum wage to get people to work there.
My memory of high schooling job life, the video rental stores and the movie theaters would pay the ~$5 minimum wage amount because they gave the kids perks and people wanted to work there. But you would get paid more frying burgers.

A very small contributing factor.
Fast food prices are increasing well beyond those rates observed for wage increases over the last year.
https://www.upjohn.org/research-highlig ... her-pricesBy looking at changes in restaurant food pricing during the period of 1978–2015, MacDonald and Nilsson find that prices rose by just 0.36 percent for every 10 percent increase in the minimum wage, which is only about half the size reported in previous studies. They also observe that small minimum wage increases do not lead to higher prices and may actually reduce prices. Furthermore, it is also possible that small minimum wage increases could lead to increased employment in low-wage labor markets.

I worked at iggle video during high school and made $5.25/hr. I feel like it might have been the a dollar or so more to flip burgers can't remember. This was 99-01 time frame. There were def perks to working at a video store though.Fast food always had to pay over minimum wage to get people to work there.

I want to say that I made between $6-7/hour at a local grocery store (my first job). I've been keeping track of my salary history since 2000, where I made between $7-9/hour working at a Staples distribution warehouse.
