I met a real hot chick the other day, 9 easily. Her name was Leslie though so gotta cut that by at least 1/3rd.

Yeah the 2nd one. She was fun but the drive sucked and we were at 2 different places in life.

I don’t own an rv and I don’t have a country club membership but those are two things that would be very rewarding but also extremely uneconomical. I want one or both but can’t get over the economics and the opportunity cost. So I don’t have either. But I fully encourage an overly expensive, physically and mentally taxing idea like flying 5 hours round trip in one day to spend a few hours at a theme park
Nice save there with the outdoor references ;)

I too am interested in said activities. I think the former is much more likely for us. Been saving up to buy a truck by around this time next year, and hoping everybody is tired of their Covid RVs and decide to sell them cheap.

Was biking through Treesdale tonight and wondered what it would be like to have the moolah to buy one of those McMansions near the golf course. Like, how many Pittsburghers are raking in enough dough to afford these houses? There are only so many doctors and Shenderoviches in the area. Sheesh

when I was a kid, we got dressed up to go to Red Lobster and Sizzler. we couldn't even dream of affording Steak 'N Ale.
it's been years since I've been to a Red Lobster. just a guess but I'd say that the fact that they have multiple microwaves in the kitchen is at least part of the problem.

Same. Red Lobster was where we’d go for a “fancy” dinner to celebrate a birthday or some other special occasion. I have a soft spot for that place though I haven’t been to one in probably 25 years. Im guessing it would be disappointing today so I’ll just let it live in my memory.

Last time I went was probably 7 or 8 years ago to use a gift card.

If you like breaded shrimp it’s a gr8 choice. But I’ll be damned if that menu evolved at all in the past 30 years.

I like cheddar biscuits as much as the next person, but I couldn't tell you the last time that I've been to one.

Edit: I remember going to one while I was on a work trip in MI, which would have been between 2011 and 2016.

I recall going with my best friend when we were in 7th grade and both got straight As and his mom took us out to celebrate. That was the one and only time I've been there.

there is a red lobster near the rink here. I drive by at all different times on all days of the week. The only time there are cars in the parking lot are Saturdays at 11 am and weekdays at 4. It’s a ghost town the rest of the time.

was that back when they had hushpuppies or were they already serving Cheddar Bay Biscuits? because I will say, those things are like crack.

Pretty sure it was biscuits at the time... but that was so freaking long ago. Hard to say.

The Red Lobster on McKnight seems pretty busy to me.

This was briefly mentioned on KDKA yesterday. Supposedly the company ran several "all you can eat" specials on shrimp and lobster in the recent past and completely loss their ass on the cost. People would come in and eat like 100 shrimp in one sitting. Red Lobster made the serious mistake of underestimating the ability of Americans to eat like hogs at a trough when food is all you can eat.

The Red Lobster in Greensburg is busy all the time. My wife and I would get curbside from there every few months but it was getting to be like $70 for us to eat at home so we stopped doing it.

Been a while since I’ve been to Red Lobster, but I used to love Chesapeake Bay back in the day. All you can eat baby gulf fried shrimp? Yes, please.

Didn’t attend a Red Lobster until I met my wife. We went once and that was it for me. Overpriced, overprocessed seafood. No thank you

Hmmmmm Long Horn but even that’s a rarity. Other than that I can’t remember the last time I’ve set foot in a Fridays or Applebees or whatever.

I guess Red Robin because my MIL wanted to go there for her birthday.
