21" shorts are capris

I wear 7" athletic shorts or 9" casual shorts. I've had good luck with banana Republic tech shorts for golf or other indications provided by Ulf.

For midgets, maybe.

That's an outseam measure, they fall right at my knee.

Don't most women carry some sort of accessory to store their stuff?

My daughter does but she still usually has her phone in her hand most of the time.

If we go out, my girlfriend carries her phone and a credit card and her ID in her phone case. Nothing else.

A little LED flashlight that can slip into a pocket is way brighter now than those massive multi-D-battery halogen flashlights from back in the day that could have doubled as baseball bats. There's no way a phone can even come close to a dedicated flashlight like a Streamlight ProTac.

I can’t say I’ve ever been out and thought “damn I wish I had a flashlight in my pocket.”

speaking of athletic fashion: I saw an IG ad for "up to 80% off" for Fabletics. My only experience with them was terrible (bought a pair of pants I was hoping would be good golf pants but they were the worst pair of pants I ever owned in terms of how they looked/how they functioned) but I figured hey at least I'll look into it

turns out the 80% off only applied if you signed up for hte VIP membership or whatever which is like $60 a month but there wasn't any clear indication of that in the advert. I think there is a way you could get the membership and cancel it before it bills you but honestly that hoop is not worth jumping through considering how terrible my prior experience with them had been

It’s true, fabletics and their stupid subscription service blow.

I got Mrs Tif two pair of Fab yoga pants, and it was a painless and subscription-free process. I had intended to order them for pickup (the store is only like 2 mi from our house), but they offered free delivery. So went out to dinner and when we got home there was a Fabletics bag on our stoop w yoga pants.

I guess this is a gripe against the Commonwealth but.... had to get a windshield replaced and Safetlite is not authorized to replace the sticker. Only an official state inspection station can issue a replacement. But, those places don't usually do glass. Most people go to Safetlite or another glass shop. Let those places replace the damn sticker! It's not like the whole car gets re-inspected.

It's not that it's that time consuming to go to Monro or someplace I probably wouldn't let do actual work on my vehicle to replace the sticker, it's that it's another hour out of my day to get the vehicle there and get it done.

I agree - Safelite should be able to replace the sticker if they're also replacing the windshield.

I remember seeing some vehicles with the section around the inspection sticker being cut out from the old glass sitting on the dash. I'm guessing that is not legit

I subscribe to fabletics, love their joggers and shorts, and have an alert in my phone to remember to skip every month between the 1st and the 5th.

Looks like another data breach settlement is coming in the mail today... for my daughter. The EMR software company that my pediatrician uses, Connexin, was breached in 2022 apparently, and PHI information was compromised. Looks like it affects mainly PA pediatricians. So she'll now get 3 years of identity monitoring for free.

I'd love to see identity protection become some sort of free service offered by the government (I know, tHe GoVeRnMeNt CaNt Do AnYtHiNg RiGhT, STFU) as part of our taxes. Find money to fund it.

Hey I just got a year of identity monitoring because AT&T had a breach. It's no big deal though, the only thing they got was my name, email, phone number, and SSN.
