It would probably help, it's only 2 episodes in, but it's feeling like more of a direct sequel to season 1 than just callbacks at this point. Like that guy dancing, if you paid attention to his name and illness and you remember season 1 well, you'll see what I mean
Hmmm. I missed that, and I've watched season 1 probably 10ish times. Maybe I'll give it another go around this weekend. Thanks for the tip!
Ep2 goes even deeper into S1 and shines a little more light on some of these people and connections to S1 so they are sorta making the connections for you as we progress.

had some pretty good moments. Yeah, the writing was pretty ham-fisted, but I enjoyed it for the most part. Season 2 is a completely trainwreck. I can't even believe it was produced as it was so clearly thrown together and half-assed. A couple of the episodes barely cracked the 30 minute mark. It's like everyone involved was contracted for the season but put zero effort into it. I can't believe they're making a
season 3.
Speaking of, csb/ tif moment I had this week. On Wednesday, a bunch of us in the office hear something that sounded like they dropped a new a/c unit on the roof. A loud bang that shook our building. Today I find out they’re filming season 3 right outside our building. I guess they were filming an explosion scene. Saw a SWAT car with Kingstown printed on its side in the Haddad’s parking lot next to us

The first two episodes of Masters of the Air are out, and to no surprise, are very good. Nice to watch them in 4K, too, as Apple TV+ doesn't upcharge for 4K (yet).

I listened to an interview with writer/producer Jon Orloff who talked about the scale of the series. They had 300 COVID safety people on set because they were filming at the height of the virus in 2020-21 and needed to test 1500 people a day, just to get filming underway. That's crazy. The costume designer - Colleen Atwood - said she stopped counting at 3000 costume fittings.

My only issue is that it's on Apple TV+. A friend at work who I know is a history buff and loved BoB and The Pacific had no idea this show was coming out because of the service it was on, despite the big marketing push over the last few weeks. That might also be because of the loss of Twitter as a central social media platform for many people.

Yeah it should’ve been on HBO. But, if it’s good it’ll gain traction as the series goes. Ted Lasso ended up being a huge show despite AppleTV.

Wife and I started Peaky Blinders tonight. 3 episodes in, but the cinematography is ridiculously good. Really enjoying it so far.

It’s a super fun show. Doesn’t take itself too seriously and the characters portrayed are over the top in a good way.

Got thru episode 5 before calling it a night. We're completely invested at this point. Subtitles may have helped at certain points, but rewind works just as well...and has the added bonus of feeling like you won something when you figure out what they actually said. :D

My wife decided after watching Reacher season 2 to go back and watch season 1. I caught the first couple of episodes with her, and it's much, much better than season two. Not even close. Even the music is better. He also looks 10 years younger in season 1 over season two, especially in the pilot. Like the scene where he's going into the diner and stares down the redneck yelling at his wife - Reachers looks almost like AI touched him up. It's strange, but not as pronounced in later episodes.

I watched the GI Joe movie yesterday. I remember as a kid Cobra Commander turning into a snake, but didn't understand why. It was pretty decent though. Started the DIC GI Joe cartoon which was supposed to be a continuation of the SunBow series/movie. Man is the animation bad, but they do take directly from the movie. Just 43 more episodes of that and I'm done with GI Joe!

Deciding if I take a break, or watch Transformers, HeMan or TMNT to live nostalgically through my youth. TMNT would be next on the list if I do.

I loved all of the live action TMNT movies. The Michael Bay ones were, as you'd expect, hot garbage. And he should have been tarred and feathered for them.

TMNT cartoons do not hold up, imo. I get why I liked them as a kid but there’s not a whole lot there for an adult.

I’ve only watched the original 80s series. I did watch a few episodes of the 2003 series and those are fine. The cartoons tend to skew too kiddy for me. Though I did like the Mutant Mayhem movie.

That's what I feared. Loved them as a kid. Probably too "kiddy" for me now.

GI Joe I feel held up really well.

I've heard many say He-Man does not hold up well at all.

I never really hear anyone say anything about Transformers.
