Oh, and I brought my covid vaccine card with me and the pharmacist never brought it up. I asked her if they still needed to fill it out and she said, "If you want for your records, but no one really uses them now." So there's that.

I meant having them filled out. Not sure if anyone actually requires them for anything anymore.Who uses the vaccine card?Your pharmacist is very wrong.Oh, and I brought my covid vaccine card with me and the pharmacist never brought it up. No, the pharmacist is right. The cards aren't really a thing anymore. The government isn't in charge of distributing the vaccines anymore, and the CDC stopped printing the cards. Existing cards are still valid as proof of previous vax/boost, of course. But from now it's just like any other vax in that you'll have to request records going forward to show proof of currency (if/when needed).

He was instrumental in the very early research into utilizing mRNA as a vaccine. Absolutely, 100% yes. So were hundreds of other scientists that worked on it at the time. He wasn't even the lead author on the major papers in the field....
In case you didn't know: scientific papers can have many, many authors that all contribute to it in one way or another. Typically the two that are most important are the first author and the last author. The first author is usually the person who did the most work on the research. The last author is typically the boss or the research group leader.
Malone did zero work on the Covid vaccines.

I was tinkering around with Scopus at work and we have a faculty member who is a part of a 25 author study. It's crazy

What are the financial implications of winning a Nobel Prize vs not winning one? Was homeslice there even......... nominated? Eligible? I don't know how that works. I would imagine that winning a Nobel Prize unlocks the doors to a lot of funding that maybe otherwise would be harder to open. (Never mind any personal enrichment.)

I think the record is for a physics paper that has a few thousand authors on it. The author list is like 10x the actual content of the paper.I was tinkering around with Scopus at work and we have a faculty member who is a part of a 25 author study. It's crazy
