I don't care if you are competent or not, at age 65+ or so...you shouldn't be an elected official in any capacity. Go retired and enjoy life.

I do believe it should be tied to either retirement age, or max 70.

Max 70? GTFO, that's too old. I'd argue that even 65 is pushing it.

It should not be tied to age at all.

David Attenborough isn't making legislative policies for the entire country.

It's funny how we start to look at age differently as we all get older. 20 years ago, I would've been like "Hell yeah, 65 is old!" But ****, I'm only 15 years from being 65. FFS. :o :scared:

Yeah, I get that age is easy to tie it to, but there are plenty of people who can do the job at an advanced age. There isn’t an easy solution to this.

I'd say make the age limit 65. These people can retire as politicians, but that doesn't mean they couldn't be an advisor. However, placing an age limit on any job to me seems unconstitutional, so doubt it would happen.

I don't want more advisors, thats how they become puppeteers. I also don't like term limits.

65 is not old. 70 is not old. They are older, but I am not worried at that point. I put a lot of the onus on the voters being complacent. and theres definitely no easy fix for that.

PA supreme court justices have an age limit. So does the military.

PA Supreme Court being an elected position does make it more interesting. Mandatory retirement though in the military is more about maintaining upward momentums and not stagnating future leaders I thought. (see WWI when your military leadership is too old).

The biggest blocker is the people that would enact these rules are not going to because its outside their self interest. So point is moot.

David Wecht being a Supreme Court Justice for as long as Cyril has been alive would give a solid 40+ more years of Wecht PA Power.

I don't get how this wasn't escalated further...like, the article just sort of trails off...

"The man illegally housing an endangered species in his Chevy LeBaron was cited for changing lanes without signaling."

Like, what about the main part of the story? The giant cow? What's gonna happen...?
