He missed two+ months with a hamstring injury

He should be serviceable when healthy, but guys like this are a dime a dozen, they will produce when fully healthy, but every injury is a season long struggle. It will be like a fat white Polanco.
That doesn't make me feel any better about the signing.
I mean, we're just trying to get through 2022 at this point without Cole Tucker and Kevin Newman taking DH at bats.

Kevin Newman shouldn’t exist.

The downside of not having a proper spring training? We were deprived one final chance to talk ourselves into Newman maybe not being that bad.

He was on Josh Bell meds in spring training last year.

I dont know that this team is any more watchable than last year's. I only watched parts of like 10 games in total.

From 2011-2018 I attended an average of 20 games a year.

Between their shittiness and the profound decline of the league's product, I'm hanging by a thread

I don't think it is. Not until Cruz is up at least. That's something worth watching

Only combination Pitt/pirates fans should be allowed to watch this team. They are the only folks truly capable of handling the level of low expectations

Baseball is a chore to watch in general...add that to the Pirates being their normal dumpster fire. Hard pass.

And we'll appreciate the KtK musings, those of a disappointed father, as a balance to the DD rants, those of a father that outwardly hates his children.

A's and Reds immediately going into fire sale after the new CBA probably gives a good indication as to what this CBA accomplished. Nothing.

So all the baseball writers complaining about the mid-market owners and how the owners were being unreasonable on their modest CBT increase offers, and never spending a minute on the initial owner's offer for a payroll floor. tyfys.

Lol. Let's see so Rocco's would be of a father who relentlessly bullies his weakest kids and Dodint's would be of one who looks on his children with snide disinterest?

Rocco is the single dad 12 beers deep when his kids show up for the weekend

Dodint is the dad that discovered a fling from high school got pregnant, didn't tell him, and then 10 years later broke the news. He is involuntarily engaged in some ambiguous role of "parenthood", and is subconsciously rejecting it.

McCutchen teeing off on the Pirates special needs pitching while wearing a Brewers jersey is gonna be tough to watch.

I would play this card to the fullest. Imagine the joy of tax credits, and being able to constantly blow off work 'for the kids'. I bet my handicap would fall 5 strokes on that alone.
I need to make some phone calls...

Outfield walls in GABP are like 300 feet. A Ludwick/Moss is all but guaranteed.
