Yeah, anyone that has played goalie or defense or even driven the net before in a competitive game, you know how dangerous it can be to have knives underneath 200 pounds of force flying around down there. Just a bad idea in general. Redirects are fine by me, but having skates being used to jar pucks loose and from under gloves and blockers while you're being knocked around...that is a severe injury waiting to happen and it wouldn't take long...

Just re-watched the replay on my phone that Avy provided (thanks for that)...I would have stood with the call on the ice certainly.
