Trading Sid or Geno would be a big mistake. You don't get better by trading the best players of a generation. No return would ever be enough.
Explain how you build a complete team then in today's clutch and grab NHL?
Several other teams are currently playing much better than the Pens and have been for a while.

It's not clutch/grab. Plenty of the top teams are doing things the Pens aren't anymore:

1. Aggressiveness with the puck, all over the ice. Skate hard, keep advancing, make the opponent play d and back off you. Pens are constant targets because they stop and have their backs to the opponent's net way too much.

2. Play off the boards. Oh, you have a lot of talent? How bout if I just jam your can against the boards twss because that's where your dumb ass drifts to all the time? Yeah? Sold..

3. PASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASSPASS.

3. Dey soff.

4. Even when the Pens outshoot opponents, the shots are 99% butt anymore because of 1-3.

dammit.

If we do that, we are no longer the Penguins we love. A whole new team and a new era. I'm not ready for that.

Btw, Boston is winning. Not sure if the Pens are aware of the standings. They should be.

Lol the espn webplaceythingy still has it Canes 2-1...maybe the Pens can enlist a bunch of timewarp engineers to retard their greased firepole plunge into Pukeland.

I'm usually pollyannaish about the Pens but even I'm starting to get worried about their chances. I suppose we have the first cup win to make us realize that all that matters is how well they play once they're in the playoffs.

So we need more goals in a half period than we've been scoring in a game recently to win. Well it would be a nice way to kick start the finish to the year. Go do it boys.

But the 07-08 and 08-09 teams were really strong going in to both playoff years and were decided favorites over every opponent. Today, they have less than 10 games left, and it's the equivalent of Bill Murray and the troops from Stripes with no coordination, a mere few hours away from show time. They pulled it off with awesomeness...these shmeggegies? Meh. Switch, anyone?
