Fragile Beau out again
I think it's long since been time to go ahead and let Beau walk at the end of this year. He needs a fresh start, and hopefully has better luck elsewhere. His money can be served getting another player, or increasing Cullen's pay for next year.

We're going to fix that with more threads.Source of the post
Why do you think that this is a hockey forum? "Off Topic" has three and a half time more posts than "Pittsburgh Penguins". It is a purely social forum where some people talk about hockey.

Maybe you two have a point.
Then again, this is a place where Beau Bennett (Beau Bennett!!) is a cause célèbre worthy of 7 pages of internet posting. Imagine if this was a hockey forum using whatever your standards for hockey forum are; dodint may have assaulted/been assaulted by another member at this point.

Is he worth more than whoever our 50th guy is? I have no idea but my guess is yes if only bc he's most akin to a scratch off lottery ticket at this point. Whoever number 50 on our roster is probably doesn't have that kind of (highly unlikely to actually be realized) upside, so f it gimme the minimum for another year or two.

The problem is not his direct cost, nor is what he give when he is on the ice. The problem is that you basically end up with a $1.5M AHL call up when Bennett is injured, again ($750K for Bennett, $750K for the replacement). You can not bury a guy when he is hurt, and Bennett is okay enough when healthy to make you not want to bury him then either. His situation is just too much bother/distraction/annoyance in my opinion so let someone else deal with it.Is he worth more than whoever our 50th guy is? Quality thread.

You really have to go back to the old place to get to the root of what's being discussed in the GDT. This thread was at the tail end of that experiment and not representative of how great and sustained my take was.

Also, he's playing for the Chicago Wolves of the AHL, under contract from the Blues. He played in six games this year and put up, I believe, no points and was a -2 for the Blues.

I think I remember a thread in my lurking days called "Beau Brittle has an owie".

He seemed like a nice guy, who was destined to finish last.

One of those loser crew/crazy posters referred to him as a "juice box" or a "juice case" or something once upon a time (I think Beau was still in college at the time)...that provided me a wealth of giggles...

"Juice case" was the preferred description, as I recall.

friend of mine always used to refer to him as Glass Beau. Took me a minute to figure out why."Juice case" was the preferred description, as I recall.

By team you mean the AHL Chicago Wolves.
