Wings go 2-0 = 91 - 2nd Wild Card
Penguins go 2-0 = 90 - 3rd Metropolitan

Islanders go 0-2 = 90
Capitals go 1-1 = 89
Flyers go 1-0 = 89

this is why ya boy should be in charge of goalie decisions. you go with jars against BOS because you are most likely going to lose and you can leave him in there if you are getting walloped. then ned has some time to rest and win these last two must wins.

This is one of those decisions where it's judged primarily on the result...yeah, I would have played Jarry vs Boston. But it's not like it was such an obvious decision beyond reproach.

So, if Ned shuts out Boston the other night, then it's "ride the hot hand, it's so obvious"; if Ned loses, "he was tired...shouldn't have played"; if Jarry starts and loses, it's "should have rode the hot hand, it's so obvious."

I'm on record pre-game that Jarry should've started, and that it wasn't the end of the world either way. But the worst possible outcome happened; both goalies got shelled and they lost. That feels like an extra special kind of not great.

Yinzers are never happy if you lose. You don't make decisions based on their reactions. As you, meow, and others said - Jarry v. Boston was pretty obvious. Ride the hot hand all you want, but even the hot hand needs a rest. Another Sully mistake
