Unsigned draft choice of Philly that Hextall brought in. Defensive d-man that has no discernible puck skills...

Surprised it's him that gets a chance, but this is what folks wanted...WBS doofuses to get a chance.

Whatever, if he's actually defensive, it's an upgrade over current Graves.

Do they even have another RHD down there?

Quick glance is St Ivany, Fedun, or Headrick

They've been playing dudes on their off-side since Ruhwedel was traded, and I'm going to say Ludvig/POJ are probably way more comfortable on their strong side.

The only NHL caliber LHD on this team is Pettersson.

And they only have 2 RHD so I'm not sure your point WRT St Ivany getting the call-up to play the right side....

Those 2 RHD can eat minutes and make that third pair limited assuming there was another top 4 LD somewhere.

I don't really have a problem with the callup (though Ivany ain't great)... more the note that they need RHD.

Honestly, I didn't think about handedness because of the current situation...we've had guys of all types playing on their wrong side: the physical Ludvig, the...uhhh, the guy Joseph...but you're right, JSI being RHS makes sense to give him a shot at being comfortable up here.

First zone entry for JSI, got a shot. I'll take that. Good look.

If the Pens have three Buntings on this team next year, I would like our chances. Gotta find a couple more

Pettersson punching one into our net isn't what we need.

Other than JSI being too shy to lead a rush with speed behind the puck at the 8:51 mark or so, he's had a nice start actually. Let's see what happens if these minutes start to add up...

Not sure what other offers were on the table for Jake, but grabbing Bunting and some prospects seems like a good return for a pending UFA.

Probably a hot take, but I kinda miss Friedman.

He was able to provide a bit of fight and grit from the backend that this team seems to miss at times.

He'd be easy to get back if we want...I'd rather see where Ludvig goes.

how does someone end up with the name “St. Ivany” when there’s no actual “St. Ivany”?

I guess it’s a bastardization of St Ivan? who I guess is also St John of Rila? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_of_Rila
