Dubas is in a much stronger position IMO if he knows that he'll be able to re-sign Jake if the offers aren't good enough. Without an absolute need to move him, he can hold out until the last minute and create a bidding war. This is a bit different than a team having a fire sale and dumping a bunch of contracts for whatever they can get. I don't think Dubas pulls the trigger here unless the offer is substantial.
