Actually, it's never really been mentioned. It might have been brought up when she was first hired but yes, she played in college and won 3 or 4 events there (fun fact, she was 8-0-1 against my ex, who still holds her school's record for career birdies). She gave professional golf a shot but realized that the financial implications weren't going to be right for her so she switched her focus to TV work.
