Pens are just perplexing. Poor starts, poor penalties, poor changes/decisions. Rough coming from such an old team.

i think the term 'veteran team' is a misnomer; especially when used by hockey analysts. the burden of high expectations can be a dodint for a veteran team; especially one with 4 future HOF'ers.

as you age out you become acutely aware of just how quickly things can go to crap and when that happens and you've got 10-15-18 yrs of proof that that seldom ends well the tendency to get all up in your own head doesn't decrease, rather it increases.

think back to that letang miscue a few games ago that led to an ot winner. or sid's bad change in ot that was at least partially responsible for the loss tonight.

only a theory. i wonder what mikey or theU or his highness the king might make of it?
