I don’t understand the play not being blown dead once he lost his glove. I guess that’s not a thing?

Per Bourque, if you lose a piece of equipment your team must now gain possession to get the whistle.

That’s really dumb but I guess the league has shown they don’t care about safety over the years. Play should be dead immediately on that.

Didn’t matter with the offsides though.

Disagree. Blow the play dead. It’s a safety thing. Quick instinctively reaches his hand out even if he didn’t mean to. That’s a broken hand easily.

I get it’s a very rare occurrence, but just makes zero sense to me to keep playing in that situation.
