Fundamental difference between Stars and Pens is that the Stars worked hard and scored dirty goals while the Pens can't win any net battles and most of their shots are coming from a spot where Oettinger can see them. Need more traffic and need to get dirty in the 3rd.

Couldn’t have thought of a worse start to the year. Frankly I’m not sure how Sullys seat isn’t getting hotter

It's a shame, he's on the hunt for at least a 4 GAA, Ned has been excellent tonight...minus the third goal.

It honestly should be, simply for how adding a Norris winning defensemen, who won that award based on offense, and they continue to trot out the exact same powerplay and he's about as effective as the rest. What was the point of trading for him, if you're going to just treat him like he doesn't know what to do on the PP?

No it shouldn't. The roster is not good. But we all knew it would take major surgery and more than one off season to fix

I was gonna drop a comment on this thread, but this one here actually sums up what I wanted to say quite well.

Of course, if they'd actually recognize a shooting opportunity with traffic, then maybe they could get somewhere. Prime example there with 3:45 left. Smith is moving toward the left circle and there's traffic gathering but he elects to pass it back into the slot. Gotta throw stuff at the net.

They have 3 good defensemen and generously 6 good forwards and rakell is making me want to say 5.

DOC is ass
Eller is mid
Zohorna is ass
Acciari is playing like dogshit
Nieto exists
Carter is actually officially toast and I was pulling for him
Graves is brutal
And then there are 17 third pairing guys who suck equally
