Summer topic. Obviously, health is the biggest factor as well as will he be signing another contract and how long will his play hold up.
Currently has 1,502 points, 36 years old, 2 years left on his contract, 1.26 PPG for his career (1.13 last season)

that said, I never really thought about this but man are his injuries super unlucky because he might be one of the best conditioned players in history. He might not want to play past 40, but he could probably continue to play well into his 40s from a physical standpoint (and of course from a talent standpoint too)

It all comes to an end for players eventually, but Crosby is not aging at the same rate most hockey players (or athletes in general, for that matter) typically do. Much like Ron Francis, Steve Yzerman, and a very select group of others, Crosby is an exceptional passer with tremendous vision of the ice and the ability to anticipate the play like few others who have ever played the game. A typical loss of speed for a player his age won't eliminate his effectiveness.

He is a good bet to be an effective player until age 40 if not a year or two beyond that, and he is a good bet to approach or even exceed 1900 career points.

yeah Sid could play another ten years at a second/third line level for the last 4-6 imo, but I don't see him wanting to. Just depends when he feels like he's had enough
