Penguins sign Ryan Graves

The Penguins have agreed to terms with defenseman Ryan Graves on a six-year contract.

The contract runs through the 2028.29 and carries an average annual value of $4.5 million.

I really dislike how Graves processes the game. He's very inefficient. Big shot from distance, but he makes a lot of mistakes defensively. I don't think he's very skilled...he's a big dude and not a killer either...

He's a #5 defenseman for me. So six years at $4.5 mil, I wonder if I wouldn't have done less/cheaper with Dumo...

Never liked him; always reminded me of those big, dunderheaded defensemen the Caps used to have in the 90's when the Pens would routinely knock them out of the playoffs.

I just don't know what they see in him that could possibly make this a good fit.

I don't even know about that. But at least Gudas is a killer. Graves is a softy usually. Gudas takes eye for an eye. He trades queens in chess as soon as possible. Graves tries to win once and if it doesn't work, he defends himself to a loss or draw...
