So who are up and coming assistant GMs in the league right now?

I'd like to be involved in the hiring of my next boss also.
So Sullivan looks to be staying.

I mean, it makes sense if you ascribe to the theory that the GM hasn't given the coach the necessary tools/hasn't been on the same page since the 2017 Cup.
I think he's a good coach, and it would be interesting to see what would happen if the new GM was actually interested in building a roster that meshes with the coach's style.
A lot of this roster makeup has been square pegs in round holes, by no fault of Sullivan. He can only work with what he's given.

2 seasons, gotta be one of the shorter reigns in recent history.

Head coach of an NHL team is a one in thirty-two position in the world. It's a terminal position if you don't have some other way of demonstrating that you're fit for executive work.I mean, it's no different than being promoted at work. What's the next growth step after head coach? This is what I hate about the NHL. The guy is a good coach? Must be good at a front office position. Played goalie well but like an uncontrolled asshat for over a decade? Lets make him a GM.B) be considered for GM
That's not a shot at KC, just a shot at the cronyism that pervades NHL staffs. One good thing about a sports management group like FSG is maybe they'll adopt an approach that considers things like experience and qualifications instead of how many degrees of separation you are from a Sutter.
I work for FedGov. If I stick around long enough they'll make me President, you know, because that's how it works, right?

I mentioned before but it's the shortest non-interim GM sting since Tony Esposito.2 seasons, gotta be one of the shorter reigns in recent history.

Since it's been such a short time, who did we interview last time? Trying to remember if we had a fan favorite here

Wasn't Kevin Weekes rumored, or was that a different organization?

They might want to at least take a look at Laurence Gilman or Ray Whitney as a potential GM

I laughed very hard at that pic of Pierre

I will renew my assertion that I hope FSG thinks outside of the nepotism box here and hires actual business and talent management people. Reading through threads of people bringing up former players and television sports analysts will give me an aneurysm so I'm just going to peace out until they make a selection.

https://theathletic.com/4408651/2023/04 ... ris-pryor/Hextall is the first Penguins GM since Tony Esposito (April 14, 1988, to Dec. 5, 1989) to not win the Stanley Cup.
That's a wild fact.
