Worst refs in all of sports. How in gods name was that not called

A soccer referee kicked a player in the balls and only got a 12 game suspension. The player got two games.

This is a bad loss, imo.

It’s not even that it’s a loss. Devils are damn good this year. Pens probably should be losing but this, this is the kind of game you should be bag skated after or have a players only meeting.

I know Granlund is disappointing but putting Carter and Heinen on his line is sort of a self fulfilling prophecy

Players: 30%
Coach: 10%
Hextall: 60%

It's like the old line about some d-men or refs, "if I don't notice them, then they're doing a great job"...I think that's the philosophy surrounding that choice...it's a choice, certainly...

I had four really great d-men this year while I was coaching and then one really, really bad one and one really young one...long story short, I eventually just put the bad ones together and just went "if they score on us during those 12 minutes...so be it, I'm not neutering the team for the majority of the 60..." that's probably more in line with what Sully is thinking there...

I’m fine with a complete overhaul of front office and coaching staff? Sometimes you need a new voice, even if the coach isn’t really to blame.

Yeah, I don't really fault Sullivan for this...but I imagine that this front office is going to be allowed to pursue a coaching replacement before they themselves are on the chopping block...I would be disappointed by such a move, especially given that the current front office has not given me a lot of confidence...

I'd say:

Players: 40%
Coach: 20%
Hextall: 40%

Players are old, slow, and playing lazy. This is an important game, and the players are acting like the season just started. Coach is the least to blame, but either isn't making needed style changes or cannot convince players to play that way. GM failed to address notable gaps, such as goaltending. Plenty of blame to go around for everyone.

I don’t want to get rid of Sully yet. I’d like to see Reirden gone; he’s done a poor poor job with the D in my opinion.

Hextall needs to go. He’s single handedly ruined this team. You can honestly say the only move he made that worked out is for Poehling and he was a throw in. I don’t care what happens to Burke because who the hell knows what he does other than getting mad at the team from the press box
