Do they waste a 5-3 ?

Looks like it so far.
And a 5-on-2 for ten seconds.

That 5 on 3 was the chance and they blew it.

Just think. In a couple of years, the Broons will be in the same situation the Pens, Flyers and Caps are in now. Flyers probaly worse since Hextall was the GM.....OH WAIT !

IMHO, yeah in a way they are. Pens and Caps are old, Flyers haven't been much to speak about for a few years.

Pens & Caps are more or less...Philly, meh, you have to really squint...

Boston are in that "situation" too...except they're magically good. Like, this isn't really a formula, right? There isn't a bunch of high picks here or anything...it's more or less a random assortment of guys...they're getting a lot from a very old center in Bergeron. Krejci came back to play for free...some shrewd moves like adding Lindholm, certainly...but it's really bizarre that they're not only good, but historically great. Some folks had them missing the playoffs this year...

They were 28:1 for the Cup, preseason. O/u 96.5 pts. Not top 10...

Call a timeout to come up with perimeter passes and one lane shot.

**** pay me to coach that.

Thank you for saying that, because that's exactly how I feel about them. I mean, terrific season ... but why? You're a coach, is HCJM doing something revolutionary or whatever?

Pretty solid, pretty deep roster, of course. Great D and all that.

I mean, they're tough to play against. That's been their m.o. for years of course...but the thing that's different now is that their spacing is different. The D can actually play the puck and skate with it, so they're up in the play. They deny space, deny entries...as opposed ot the Chara, Seidenberg days, where they allowed the entry, allowed the long shot, collapsed...glass/out, dump and chase. The team is more mobile. They have gamebreakers in Pasta and Marchy, and they have depth all over...but really, they're playing an updated, modern game, with a really good roster...at least, that's how I see it...

An interference and a hold go uncalled. No wonder the bruins have 200 points.

Also, I want to announce, that the intermission crew for this game is so bad that I actually put on college baseball at the intermission. I can tolerate a lot of ****, but these guys are just too much...ignoring Emily Kaplan's weird "Hey Dude" outfit and her Pierre McGuire attitude too...

Would be elated with one point today. Need to stop these turnovers in our own end.
