Again no reason to make the playoffs. They stink.

At least Hextall has a history of being a good drafter...so this would probably be the least justifiable time to make a move there...

Good drafter under what metric? His Flyers picks haven't exactly been panning out, generally speaking.
This is a case of good (generally) drafting and bad development. The Flyers are known in the biz as the team that just can't develop, they spend the league on player development...that's why you see their players that are kind of on the slide now be able to hang on as lower liners, while their players that had a ton of skill end up peaking early and then hitting hard down falls (Ghost, Provy, etc.)

I think it’s pretty obvious what happens to this team in games like this: if the top 2 lines have an off night and Jarry isn’t seeing pucks well, they get absolutely crushed

The bottom two lines are a black hole. Forget any of those guys stepping up when the stars are having off nights, they actually just make awful plays all night long

Again, Hextall had a job, to create bottom 2 lines that were maybe average and he failed **** miserably. Add in the anchor of a contract with granlund and a fantasy team manager could have probably assembled a better checking line

Well it's a terrible question. The answer is there's nobody else, because there really isn't. When they're healthy there's no cap space. When they're not, there's no players.

Yea this is on Hextall not Sullivan. His hands are tied. He basically has the option to choose between Nylander and Heinen

in the end, hockey is a funny game
but say the pens miss and the smoking hot panthers play the bruins
i'd throw a buck at that for the upset

Coach, aren't these players horrible?

"Yup, they're the worst players."

You guys ever see it go this way...?

steigy was mad in the post-game, says 'what the heck was carter doing on that first goal' then he extended the lambaste and later apologized

Either match up would warrant putting a buck down on.

I'm holding out for 7th place.
