Right you are, crusher.@mikey
the bumper ?

Now, one thing that I've been seeing and have been experimenting with myself is actually using the bumper as a decoy. I don't have a big time shot anymore, but no one else knows that...so, I work it into the bumper because that causes the accordion, the convergence on that guy. So he gets it in the middle, bumps it back out to - say - the half wall and then you can usually isolate one of the low d-men and get an even better chance...or you get a chance to work a seam pass all the way across the formation. The middle guy is like a black hole in terms of suction when he touches the puck, so actually using him to be a "bumper" has a lot of upside too...

madden's response was the 'bumper' is the guy who makes the pass to that locale on the ice
in madden world backstrom is the bumper and oshie (who's as good at it as anyone i've ever seen at taking that shot) is ...whatever
i like madden, but what he doesn't know about hockey after 50 some years of watching and being around the game

Haha I meant my team...not me personally.
And yeah, no, Oshie is in the bumper spot...Backstrom isn't usually in the slot. Madden is a boob.
