Not a bad game to take my boys to. Was their first regular season game. I took a pic of them when it was 4-1 and you could tell they were bummed. At the end they went nuts when Crosby scored. Can’t really ask for anything more as a dad.

Wow, big finish tonight!

I gave up but came back at 4-3.

I saw the box score and knew this thread would be good.

Did not disappoint.

I still am not old enough to understand the idea of quitting on the team when it's losing...how is winning worth anything (as much) to you if all you do (generally) is participate in wins...? This doesn't require an answer, but that game last night actually brought me to the edge of my seat (my hotel bed, in this case) because I was there for every second of an epic comeback...how cool is that? Turning it off at 3-0 and coming back and seeing it the next day or seeing it at 4-3 or whatever...seems...meh...

This is exactly what I told my kids at the game yesterday. Having them witness it in person - yeah, I know it's just a regular season game against Columbus - was such a fun experience. To them it was like we just pulled off something miraculous.

Now, if I was at home watching: can't say I'd stay tuned in the entire game. I'd channel surf but occasionally check back to see if they were interested in playing.

And be honest, you weren't on the edge of your hotel bed when it was 4-0.

I kept it on because the team responded after Jarry was pulled. Even though they only got one back in the second, you could feel the momentum. Had they folded and sulked around while the Jackets put in 5 or 6?, I’d be out. Why? Because I have other more fun ways to spend my free time.

Re-watched the Heinen goal.

What in the absolute **** is Erik Gudbranson doing there? Follows him to the front, then once Heinen stops, Gudbranson just... stops?

$4 mil for 4 years lolol

When the options are watch hockey or don't watch hockey, it becomes a very easy decision

No, I wasn't on the edge of my seat until the 2nd goal haha...but still, I stayed with it...I was attune to everything throughout...even if the game sucks for us, you can still learn something...

I turned it off at 4-0. I flipped it back on at the start of the 3rd and if I hadn't seen Jake score early on I would have flipped it back off.

This one time they came back and yes it was exciting, but most of the times those games end up 6-0 and are snore fests. I have better things to do with my time then watch bad hockey.

Being at the game is different, I wouldn't have left early and would have stayed the whole game if for no other reason than I paid for the tickets so its a sunk cost.

We stayed through that whole Oilers ass kicking. On the bright side, got to see a McDavid penalty shot.

I saw all four BJs goals, turned it off and didn't see a single Pens goal in regulation (but I see from this thread that we came back).

started watching and the Pens eventually get the OT goal. Suck on that, superstitious dicknozzles

Casey DeSmith has the 10th most wins in Pittsburgh Penguins history with 55.

that's kind of amazing. goes to show how bad we were pre-Mario and how good we've been since then (with pretty consistent goaltending from Barrasso, MAF and then Murray [3rd all time] and Jarry [4th all time])
