the oil are going to take their feet off the pens throat in the 3rd so it's possible this ends up 6-4 7-4 but i'd prefer it end up 10-1, the kind of embarassment which you'd hope would wake fsg up if they are -as some suggest- asleep

Doesn't matter if it's not Sully's fault....coaches get fired for this stuff all the time.

Try it again. This time, onside and with feeling.

The Pens are at their worst when they don’t think—don’t play smart, do the “little things” that everyone talks about, etc.

But they’re also at their best when they don’t think—when they don’t get cute and look for the perfect, pretty play.

I don’t have strong feelings about Sullivan either way. Even great coaches have a shelf life and they get fired eventually. We haven’t won a playoff series in 5-6 years, blew a 3-1 lead last year to NYR, and now this season is a mess. Even if you put all the blame on Hextall, the players, or injuries, etc you wouldn’t be surprised if Sullivan got fired after all this. Sometimes it’s just time for a new voice.

Firing a GM at this juncture is uncommon and not the quick fix pens fans are looking for. I'd force him to sell then let him go the day after the season ends

The second he couldn't articulate his plan on paper he should have been fired. Wonder if FSG is even available to comment on this ****.

The fans chanted “Fire Hextall” a couple of times during the game.

Well, onto Saturday. An afternoon game..what could go (even more) wrong?

Still 25 games, 8 weeks, left. Let’s go.

Well the reason I went to this game was to see McDavid do McDavid things. Mission accomplished.

I thought he said that because he just didn’t want to answer the question, not because he couldn’t answer the question.

I think I'm officially done watching the rest of the season. Neither myself nor the team has interest in doing anything of substance.

Streakiness aside, October until the New Year was a lot of fun at times. What happened to dose guy?

You keep saying "you can't fire the GM" but if you can't trust him to get you out of the hole (that he made!), what's the point of keeping him around at this juncture?

No one affiliated with the team (player, coach, management) is going to trash the roster in front of the cameras.

I'm as frustrated as anyone, but I don't expect them to say anything else.
